I am a very lucky person who will go on vacation in two weeks’ time - a week on Rhodes with my oldest friend! One last burst of summer and sunshine before the long winter, plus sea (my beloved) and old/ancient buildings (also my beloved)!
I’m very much looking forward to this. I looove having disposable income. It’s not even that big an income, but it’s secure (permanent employment, which I’ve never had before this job) and big enough that I can treat myself and buy experiences that are less than cheap (though, to be fair, we booked the trip in spring and still got an early booker deal).
Have any of you been to Rhodes, or maybe even live there? Any experiences/tips/favourite places or things to do that you’d recommend?
We’ll be staying in a... well, party tourism hotspot a bit down the east coast, so we’ll mostly use it as a base for daytrips. We’ll definitely do Rhodes (city) and Líndos, I know it’s the wrong season for the butterflies of Petaloúdes, I'll try to talk my friend into visiting Sými and/or Níssyros, and we will definitely be looking for places that do proper mezedes.
