The Cartographer's Journal
It has been a strange few days since I awoke in this empty place, perpetually stuck at noon with no changes in the weather, the flowers growing on my body hate it here, the perils of being part dryad I guess. By the looks of it some were lucky awaking sooner than others and claiming the corners of this strange place. People despite the strange manner of which we arrived have banded together forming small communities in the aforementioned corners. Struggling with meeting new people for now I have chosen to settle alone against the northern wall. Following the stories my grandfather told me about his brother in arms Ambrose Legundo I set out to establish a space for pacifists, following the Doctors motto of "Do No Harm". The aptly named Pacifist Perimeter started out as a few sad slabs of acacia wood I had been lucky enough to receive from the whimsical masters of this place. I hesitate to call them gods not surprising when one of them doesn’t just look, but is also named after my grandfathers old comrade. Not long after settling, I was lucky enough to be gifted a small measure of moss and some acacia saplings allowing me to begin construction proper. While establishing the perimeter of my temporary/permanent? home, a I assume young lady approached me asking about joining me in my efforts to establish a home. I say lady based on the dears name of Pr1ncessSushi, though I admit I have been remiss in asking for their pronouns. A fortuitous event as my now base-mate has a knack for charming people, as after wandering around the scattered communities they returned with more sapling types and even cobblestone to allow us to craft a furnace.
By the end of the first week in this strange place , the lady Sushi and myself have build a rudimentary Monster farm allowing for mob dispatch without physical Intervention from them or myself. This was greatly helped by an interesting fellow from the Southeastern corner folk, alas their name escapes me as I write this. Though we received more help from their faction eventually even receiving some Lava to build our own cobble generator. By the time the second week ended aside from gaining new members to the group, a fishing pool, lady Sushi's house, a star mural and a small shed for our storage had been set up. We also erected a secondary fence separating our private home and adding a publicly accessible farm for any re-growable resources we had available. Alas despite all the fortunate Things happening this place is not entirely without strife, as several people ourselves included had been stolen from.
The third week was eventful to say the least. With new members and limited space, the newcomers established their homes higher up on the wall backing our home. Feeling tired of the barren floor, I set up a clay-maker to make usable amounts of terracotta and set to covering the space. During this time I was approached by a member of the established Cat-maid Café, named Louieqeu who suggested mapping the space we found ourselves in. I must admit I found a calling in this Task going to great lengths to see not just a map created but marking to the best of my knowledge all the little points of interest and communities established. Though that is only what happened to myself, lady Sushi it appears had went of to assist the neighbouring boat nation and I admit I missed their company greatly, not even being able to say my goodbyes to them before we left this place at last. But I get ahead of myself, the possibly largest events I took part in were a jaunt to the end dimension to vanquish the fearsome Dragon resting there, and more a more jovial event a wedding for my map making partner Louie and someone named Floorcat. During this week I may or may not have been involved with some rule Breaking, escaping the confines of the box we all awoke in. I worked to establish a satellite location of the Perimeter on the outside of the box, as the escapes soon found that the box had been further cut of from the outside world by some sort of magic barrier. Outside the escapes succeed in creating farms for some things we still could not reliably receive on the inside of the box.
As I now know the end of this place is near, decreed by the masters of this place I write this account of my experience regretting that I had not started sooner. During what I found are the last two days of this place I build myself another small house and a pond resting on clouds including a small basement to leave all my worldly possessions in. I do not know if we all will just cease to exist or if we will be sent back to where we came from. At the very least my flowers are happier now that I regularly visit other biomes than just the pale forest this box has been placed in. Alas this is the end, I am to tired to stay awake till the proverbial timer runs out. So I shall stay out here over looking the void this box sits in. Signing off R_Bushroot . . .
