I have about three scenes left, which is really exciting because I can't wait to show you what I've been cooking muhuhuhahahaha 😈😈😈. If I finish those, which will be extremely fun, all I have to do is go back and edit.

I liked the conversation I was making. It has a lot of shouting. This chapter also has a lot of crying as well. Shouting and crying the chapter.

Fun fact: it's really annoying to keep track of where Guy's phone is.

I am on the final scene of this chapter now and I'm very emotional. I had to stop writing to run into my sister's room and fall on my knees briefly.

It oddly has a lot of my own experiences woven within it to the point where at times it feels like I'm just doing a word self portrait of my mannerisms.

The beta reader Fro.akie says, "I really feel for him, man," and was almost late to church because she couldn't stop reading.

We also had a session of walking around the room barking and speaking in tongues because we're both at pivotal parts of our fics and are very excited about writing them.

This chapter might be done around next week, if not in a few days if I stay at this pace.

I don't see a lot of places where heavy editing is necessary besides adding detail to parts that might be lacking, but nothing too crazy.

Very excited to see what everyone thinks of this one, and what's to come when it finally gets released.

I am still having the time of my life, although It's been harder than I thought. That's what I get for writing something integral to the entire plot. I've already deleted roughly 1,243 words while editing, but am very happy where it is now. I've finished the first scene 🍾.

My friend Tub says "That's disgusting". My beta reader Fro.akie says "It needs to be scarier", so now it is.

It's very lol.

Nearly 20,000 words now and there's still so much to get to, but I'm confident in where it's going. I just have to make up everything that happens next until The First Ever Court Case Ever Held Ever happens which should be really fun and I might cry a little while writing.

This chapters got everything and everyone and everywhere.

We got more references to RRR. We got violence. We got a robot dinosaur. It's even snowing sometimes.

I asked my beta reader Fro.akie what she thought in order to comment on this update post and she just said "One Battle After Another" which is a great movie (go watch it), but I said "It's not like One Battle After Another at all" so take that what you will. She clarified saying it's chaotic in a way that's a natural progression, to which I told her "That's good since the world is changing now."

She also said she liked Guy thinking about the future. Luckily for us, he's a little too dumb to think that far ahead at a time like this.

I was getting close to finishing so I quickly made the new chapter(s)' promo image because I knew I'd be less likely to make one if the part was ready to upload.

I hated drawing that thing 😭😭😭. I spent like four hours straight drawing it and it looks alright I guess but the entire time I was seething like "I don’t wanna drawwwwww". (I also haven't eaten in roughly 7 hours so a lot of it was just being hangry)

I could write and edit for like hours even doing something tedious, but I have so little patience for perfecting a single drawing 😅.

I'm very excited, as a scene I've been planning is about to come to fruition! Me getting to write old stuff I had planned ages ago is becoming a trend as we near the end of the book.

This scene I'm about to write, I like to call:

• The First Ever Court Case Ever Held Ever

And it's just about the second to last scene for this episode, which with my current pace, is pretty good.

The scene after that is:

• The transformation

Which, I'm sure you all understand means it's near the end.

I still have to write the chapter after these ones before uploading, so there's still some wait time unless I change my mind or someone wants these earlier. It's been a long time, I wouldn't blame someone for wanting these sooner. I'm eager to upload, but I also want to do it strategically.

About my most recent writings, my beta reader says: "I enjoy how small and helpless this makes me feel".

Good. I was hoping for a feeling of impending doom. In a way this next scene is pretty funny, but I think everything is funny when there's a lot of drama. It's an act of sacrifice, of faith. An act of love over fear. A lot of this chapter is about that, now that I think about it. Eventually the doubts stop working and you become something unbreakable.

I'm trying this new method where I write a lot without adding a whole bunch of details or editing right away, saving the majority of the details and editing for later.

This has been allowing me to make new prose faster, although we'll have to see how much editing I'll have to do when I come back to it. I hope most of it will end up as adding more detailed descriptions, clarifications or rewording and not anything that requires new prose in the middle of what should be an edit session.

I have a long writing session every Saturday so maybe it won't be long before I finish this scene.
