Never be afraid to recycle an idea you had for a project you already completed. Sometimes ideas really are just that good and deserve to be used more than once.
I'm really itching to write a short one-shot thingy or just another experimental single scene showcasing some events in my future projects, but with how complex they are, they simply can't convey what I'd like to in a single scene and it's driving me mad.
I'm just trapped here unable to express knowing looks in eyes, devastating realizations, petrifying fear, alien emotions, and crushing guilt because when I tell stories I have to explain the Annoying Orange lore first or something.
For clarification, this is an extremely common phenomenon when I'm experimenting/starting something complex in a chapter I'm writing.
Sometimes I write a whole bunch of prose and then later decide that it's not working even if it's really good.
For instance, at the start of the chapter 'Orphans' I had to scrap a lengthy part I initially wrote where Guy needs a ride into the city and finds the bus with all the sheep rabbids in it while it was parked and being repaired. I scrapped that because I thought it was more dramatic for Guy to catch a ride while the busses are driving past him (and it was faster).
It's the revolution! I wanted it to feel more ethereal, like getting a bunch of rabbids together made the world more magical just by their otherworldly nature.
There was another aspect I also thought was besides the point of the chapter/taking time away, where Guy had to learn to be assertive through comic violence around rabbids he didn’t know who often acted strangely, scared him, or just made him uncomfortable. Normally Stickers and Tie would be there to help regulate crowds or strangers, but I figured it wasn’t important enough to talk about at this time and was just bogging everything down.
It sucked to have to cut out all that, but if I didn’t I wouldn't of had something I was as proud of. It's just a part of it, especially when starting a new chapter.

The sheep rabbids placed him down in a booth [in the bus], the herd sitting around him, their eyes glued to him.
“Hello, everyone. Sorry about being confused earlier. I’m really grateful that you guys are taking me to the Junkard,” Guy said.
“You said you’re Manmade, right?” A sheep asked.
“I didn’t say it, but it is true,” Guy said.
From under the booth’s table a rabbid licked his foot. Guy kicked them. The rabbid hit their head on the table, backing off. At the same time a rabbid sheep to his left was playing with his ear, and the one to his right was playing with his hands, but he didn’t mind that as much.
“So.. so what are you really? I heard that a laser made you human,” Another sheep asked. The crowd nodded.
“I was born a human, actually. The laser turned me into a rabbid, not a human,” Guy said.
“Are you sure you wanna go with that backstory?” A sheep asked, disgusted. Looking around, other faces expressed the same.
“Humans EAT SHEEP!” A sheep in the back of the bus shouted.
“BAAAAH!” The sheep all bleaed together.
“Uh, don’t rabbids eat sheep too?” Guy squeaked before clearing his throat.
“..Probably,” A sheep crossed their arms.
“We’re too busy doing demo-derby to know,” Another sheep said....
There's a lot more than this but the other stuff is Guy's thoughts and similar action to the final story.

Describing Rabbid Guy dramatics to people who are just hearing about it for the first time is fun, and will get more fun the more absurdly dark it gets.
Sometimes it’s like: "Can I really admit to myself that I enjoy being a rabbid and want to be one forever even though it's the exact opposite of how I always imagined I would want to be like?" Like a normal story.
And then other times it's like: "Their mentor was killed and made into soup."
Like what we talking about here.
