Some brief explanations about what will be in my upcoming games, so you can pick and choose the ones that suit you most. (I’LL BE SUPER HAPPY IF YOU GET THEM ALL...)
- About 90% story, 10% gameplay. Word count estimated to be 70-100k. About the length of X-note or Dragon Essence and possibly longer.
- Story-wise it is a traditional murder mystery with some supernatural element, but the cases themselves are grounded in real life. (Like Danganronpa, Phoenix Wright.)
- Atmosphere-wise it is going to be dark and serious. It’s about as scary as your standard murder mystery. Horror is not the main theme, but you need to be able to tolerate blood and death.
- It does have silly moments the way X-note and Area-X are.
- It does have romance, but they are all implied.
- There are 14 characters with 14 epilogues that you can unlock by choosing the correct choices.
- There are 3 cases. They are related to each other to form a bigger case in the end.
- There will be 2 endings, though it’s more like Phoenix Wright where there is only one way to go and the other is game over.
- The gameplay is camera and photo-related. You collect evidence by taking photos and use them as evidence.
- Difficulty-wise is easy to moderate. Even if you don’t know the answer, simple trial and error will eventually get you the right answer.
- This will be the first game I made that is 16:9 widescreen resolution.
ANICON - ANIMAL COMPLEX - RABBIT’S PATH
- About 90% story, 10% gameplay. Word count estimated to be 30-40k. The same length with other paths, though I expect it to be more like Sheep than Cat.
- Story-wise it is going to be cute, funny, romantic (hopefully, lol), and emotional.
- Rabbit’s path deals with something I myself also have, so it’s also more personal.
- You will finally get to meet Snail’s human form! (Yay?)
- There will be 3 endings just like other paths: Normal, Good, and Special endings.
- The gameplay is collecting presents which you can gift to Rabbit and see his reactions. You can get tickets from cleaning the rooms and used them to play some mini-games to win the presents. All of this is optional, but they can unlock funny scenes and achievements.
- Difficulty-wise easy. Maybe not so easy to unlock everything, but to get the endings should be easy.
SILENT-X
- About 85% story, 15% gameplay. Word count estimated to be 100k+. I’m hoping to be in-between of X-note and Area-X.
- Story-wise is romance, mystery, and thriller. Plot twist galore incoming.
- It also has murders, deaths and messed up stuff.
- It has bar, mafia, gangs, Pizza Hut, assassins, police, and messed up stuff.
- It has minor connections to X-note and Area-X (especially Area-X), but in general, it is a brand new story that can be enjoyed by newcomers.
- It has 4 love interests. You need to finish the first 3 before unlocking the last one. Just like Area-X Sky path, the last path will answer all the mysteries.
- It has 9 endings, keeping in line with the tradition. Also, don’t come into this thinking everything will end in sunshine and rainbow (go play Anicon instead). Don’t worry, it’s not going to be a tragedy either. I like my bittersweet endings.
- All the characters of Area-X will make a return here. (except for one dude who is not present in the finale. Go play Natural instead.)
- The gameplay is managing the bar. You can collect recipes for cocktails or come up with new recipes. (You bet I’m going to make Syrene say “I’ve come up with a new recipeh.) Feed the customers with the correct drinks and they will talk to you.
- There will also be some other minor gameplay, like asking Belph to play piano for you, hunting at night, etc.
- Difficulty wise moderate. If you can handle X-note and Area-X, you probably can handle this. If all else fails, there will be a free guide on my site as usual.
That’s all for now. I’ll expand on them more in the future~
P.S: All 3 have Mirage Fish, so I hope that thing is not a deal-breaker...
