Okay but something about rabbithorns Ark just hits different. This is unedited lol.
You're waiting for the bus, just like you do everyday. The cool wind sends a harsh chill through your body and down your spine. Everything seems normal. Everything besides the 9ft or so thing, staring at you.
It bends down, now at your head height but still on your right side, and peers at you. Almost as if it's trying to figure you out.
"You're human." It says. More so a statement the a question. It's voice is deadpan and rough.
"Uhm," you clear your throat, "yes." You say back. You almost feel as if you've died. That would be the only explanation, right?
"Where are we?" It asks, looking around, "the human world is so confusing."
"Were- uhm, were in the outskirts of the city. The bus will come and then take us to school." You say, unsure if the being means your broad geographical location, or something more specific.
"What's your name?" He asks. You look up at it. Huge hands, with long sharp claws attached. It had multiple sets of wings, and little gold and black speaks within them.
You decide he looks fine enough, and that telling him your name can't hurt.
"Hmm, human names are so odd. So long. I'm Ark, much better then the common names of your kind." Ark says.
He stands up, his full height is honestly ridiculous. You remember stories about Grimm reapers, maybe he's one? You could've died on the walk here and not noticed.
Ark starts looking around. Acting as if he's lost something, or someone. "Have you seen a demon? He's missing."
"No, can't say I have." Honestly, if you'd seen a demon you think you'd know. Esspecially if they're as tall as Ark.
"Hm, disappointing." The feathery giant moves to leave, but your small hand reaches out first.
It shocks you, and seems to shock him aswell. Why? Why are you about to do this?
"You're already at the bus stop, might as well see where it goes, yeah?" You blurt, your voice is rushed and breathy. Looking in Arks eye as you talk is hard, he's presence makes you feel twitchy.
"Mortals are so clingy." He sighs, rolling his eye. "I have things to do. But if you're that desperate I'll find you, make sure you're entertaining when I see you next."
You nod, watching Ark leave. Turning to face toward the road once more, you realise what just happened.
"What the fuck."
