“I’m fine.” She only partially lied. True it was on the colder side that evening but it wasn’t as if she hadn’t been stuck out in torrents of heavy rain in colder weather. She could deal with this much for a little while.

Taking a seemingly casual glance around them to make sure they didn’t have any ease droppers she tacked on, “you need it more than I do anyway, nii-san.”

okay ,  so i think the most important one would be how we are both self sacrificing to protect the people we care about ,  or literally anyone in general .  & how we at times feel like we aren’t doing enough ,  & inevitably put ourselves down because of it .

Oh she wished she was. That would entail her not having spent hours mopping up buckets of water in hopes of saving any of their stuff or the floor from being permanently destroyed by water damage.

“Does it look like I’m joking?” She returned dumping the seventh or eighth bucket of water down the sink. “This is ridiculous.”

the ryūnosuke siblings were a team unlike any other. born from the slums, a near decade of forging and fighting side by side had ensured that. there was no sign she couldn’t pick up on, no movement she couldn’t predict.

so here they were. on a mission for the first time in months together - and akutagawa chooses to lecture her on a successful mission due to her blocking one too many hits aimed towards him.

gin pauses her sentence to throw a knife at someone she’d assumed dead.  a solider attempting to point his gun towards her brother with his last breath. it sinks into wrist clean, the gun clattering to the floor with a now decapitated hand.

kenji doesn’t bother to hide his confusion, or is surprise that akutagawa was concerned about him at all. he didn’t even know akutagawa could be concerned about someone else, much less an agency member. he appreciated it either way though, even if there was nothing to be worried about.
