I had a debate with my coworker about abortion and he just said "dont have sex"
Like honey, thank you for thinking I can run fast enough to avoid someone who wants to assault me but I can't
Taking away abortion makes it more likely for the pregnant person to die as well because it's done in less than sanitary places, typically
Doctors used to perform shit under the radar, no anesthesia or after care. If you died, they would find a way to get rid of the body without it being identified.
Just a forever missing person.
And that's before mentioning miscarriages and how that will change how women are treated after losing a child.
Imagine grieving the loss of your child and hearing all around you that you had to have "murdered" them because the police had to investigate and make sure it was a miscarriage.
Or having to have an abortion because the pregnancy isn't viable.
A fetus being a person is a spiritual question, so dont come at me with that fucking shit.
And even if it wasn't, no person is obligated to have their fucking body on loan for any reason.
Not for another "person" that will kill them or make their lives miserable, or just because they shouldn't be forced to use their body to ensure something else's survival .
I'm more worried about living and contributing people in our society.
