I know I’m hardly on tumblr anymore and the world has gone to smithereens, but it’s Pride month so how could I not post these? 

unfortunately the only artist I remember is @the-french-belphegor​ and @tiredalwavs​ so I can’t credit anyone else

Today, in my UCSP (Understanding Culture, Society and Politics) class, we were discussing the different types of societal groups. One of them was the online group/community and maestro (he strictly prefers to be called this) wanted each of us to share an online group we were a part of. I decided to share a bit about the Ruben Protection Squad™ and to my pleasant surprise, I wasn't made fun of wow. I described the squad as a group of people dedicated to making fanfics and fanart of a character from a really bad show who we felt the writers really mistreated because Bad Writing™. My classmates commented that the idea of it was sweet and nice, and meastro said that it was interesting. Like, GOOD interesting because it was unique and very unconventional, and it made my goddamn day.

So basically, thanks a lot @kikabennet and @tiredalwavs for your beautiful shitposting and for inviting me into the squad via the wonderful piece of art that is RACD. Also grateful for YOU, @thisstableground, @allthingsrubenmarcado, and @pika-ace (I'm sorry if I'm forgetting anyone else!!). Ya'll are a buncha crazy talented artists and writers

Yo I was re-watching When Marnie Was There earlier today and I realized that Ana low key really looks just like how I imagine post-Jamaica RACD Ruben to look like

With blood, sweat, and tears, I finally put together a little music video with all of the wonderful art @tiredalwavs and I have gotten featuring Ruben and Alvie. A lot of the artists are lost with my old account, but @the-french-belphegor and @angie-lacs definitely deserve all of the love and praise for their wonderful contributions. Our own @tiredalwavs too as she is not just a skilled writer but an artist as well.
