Is There’s a Rat Among Us?
What looked like a promising girls trip with deep conversations and genuine bonding, things turned sour quickly as they started to talk about the kids.
I kind of blame Rachel Fuda for asking the question if Teresa Giudice’s daughters were close with Melissa Gorga’s kids, because it seemed a little random.
However, Teresa needs to be better with her words. She implied that Antonia Gorga was to blame for creating a distance between the cousins.
One would think that Teresa knew better, and would understand why Melissa got so upset, especially after Jackie Goldschneider used Gia Giudice as an analogy.
She refused to take any responsibility and blames Rachel for asking the question in the first place.
However, I don’t know if Teresa is being completely transparent and unintentionally hurtful, or if she means to be hurtful and disrespectful.
She has mentioned numerous times this season that she has no family.
And right in front of Melissa, too! It has gotten to the point where Melissa doesn’t feel like her and Joe Gorga belongs at the wedding.
That seems like the Gorgas are only making things way worse than it already is.
I understand that Melissa is getting tired of always taking the high road with Teresa and is now taking a stand, but Teresa’s wedding is a memory they’ll never have as a family.
Unlike Teresa, I don’t put all the blame on Rachel, but it was kind of a random question to ask.
And knowing that the Giudices and the Gorgas had a long feud behind them, as an alleged fan of the show, she should know better than to ask that question.
I don’t know if I like Rachel. She creates issues among the women, then steps away while proclaiming that she doesn’t care about the drama.
Maybe if she admitted that she was sneaky and shady just to be messy I would like her more, but she seems untrustworthy to me.
And that’s why Danielle Cabral called her a rat. She isn’t wrong about Rachel or Margaret Josephs, but she failed to clear that tag team.
Trouble for Rachel’s Adoption of Stepson?
Rachel Fuda has been very open about her stepson and their relationship with his biological mother.
In this week’s episode she talked more about the situation, which was a little icky since we’re only getting one side of the story.
What has been very clear is that something has obviously been going on with the biological mother, since John Fuda got the sole custody of their son, Jaiden.
And people can be crazy!
And right before Easter the biological mother had an interview with The Sun, from prison!
They wrote that she has an extensive criminal record from the past five years and she has been “charged with burglary-entering a structure, laundering $250,000 cash, and possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine in the first degree.”
The mother and John dated for four years and broke up in 2009. He was granted sole custody in 2011. She told The Sun that:
“Since I've gone to prison, John has prevented me from speaking and seeing him whatsoever. […] When I'm out of here, I'll have to get a lawyer because he won't let me see him.”
That might mean trouble for Rachel who wants to adopt her stepson. When they talked about the adoption on the show, John warned her about this possibility:
“It's not easy, it takes time. You have to go in front of a judge. The judge then signs a petition, but you know there's a process of possibly contacting his biological mother. She probably would have to sign off.”
In the midseason trailer we can also see them in a meeting with an adoption counsellor who made the same warning:
“If Jaiden’s mother objects, she would have a right to an appointed attorney.”
When The Sun questioned how she felt about their adoption storyline, she answered that:
“It doesn't surprise me one bit. I knew they would, so I was expecting it. […] I actually predicted this would happen when I first heard about them being on the show.”
It sounds like she will fight against Rachel’s attempt of adopting Jaiden. This might turn into another battle.
A Messy Game of Telephone
Rachel Fuda and Jennifer Fessler made it seem like Jennifer Aydin was calling them to talk shit about the other women. Did they exaggerate?
Why wouldn’t Jennifer mention Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs?
They were having a screaming match at Danielle Cabral’s Mozzarella party, after all.
Why wouldn’t she try to explain that crazy display?
It seems like Rachel and Fessler will get in line with Dolores, Marge, Melissa Gorga and Jackie Goldschneider, who always thinks the worst of Jennifer.
Jennifer couldn’t even have a drink with Jackie without Marge jumping in to separate them with a more or less ultimatum.
“Don’t you know that she’s talking shit behind my back?”
But that is all Marge does on the show. She sits around and talking shit about Jennifer all day it would seem. In her house, out on lunches, or when she’s out shopping.
It’s the fake sympathy with “she’s on a downward spiral, she has to deal with her marriage” bullshit. It’s like she enjoys misery.
Marge was making fun of Jennifer’s gift to Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas, and it seems that the only thing she’s capable of: Mocking and gossiping.
Marge was also quick to point out that Teresa offended Melissa and Joe Gorga with her speech, with the “chosen family” comment.
But it’s frustrating to see the group gang up on Jennifer time and time again. But she took the entire group on, and it speaks volume to her strength.
She didn’t break down like she did in season 12 or like Jackie did in season 11. As she told the newbies, being vulnerable got her nowhere with this group.
What would this group do without Jennifer at this point? I enjoy Jennifer so much as a housewife, and it’s highly because she’s not perfect.
Jennifer is resentful that Bill Aydin isn’t supporting her more against the group. She needs to learn to appreciate him, because the alternative won’t help her.
I would rather have a diplomatic husband like Bill than a messy one like Joe, Anthony Lopez or Peter Thomas. Could you imagine that mess?!
