I finished it!! Proud that I knocked it out in one day.
Little plaid cape coat for my little Englishman. Wool blend with a corduroy lining. I think he looks very fancy. I'll have to get better photos outdoors.
Such a model. So fashion.
Arthur showing off his little custom fancy "cape" coat.
Babies who pee on themselves are subjected to the Piss Pants.
These are a prototype and there's things that I will change for the next go. But they'll do the job.
Made Arthur is own towel robe and matching snood. Now he doesn't have to share Bree's. He actually uses a robe a lot, since he gets bathed weekly to maintain his coat for showing, and the robe helps his jacket dry flat while I blow dry his furnishings. This may end up being specifically his swimming robe though. It has such a beach/surfer vibe I think. Gotta make him some more with different patterns too.
I just need to find my snap setting tool because I want to put a snap on the back so the robe can be snapped under his tail. It keeps it on tighter, which is good for drying the hair flat.
Finished this toy for Arthur. I'll see about getting a video when he's less sleepy lol.
I made some "experimental" pajamas for my mom's dog Leia. What do we think of the solid coloured body with patterned legs and belly? Another option to my usual style.
I haven't put the neck on yet ... What should I do for the neck: the solid purple, or the plaid? I almost wonder if I should do the plaid with a purple stripe on the end?
If you'll recall, I usually do the pattern all over, or pattern for the body and solid coloured belly:
But I was wondering if the solid back would be a cute option as well.
Everybody has been complimenting the sweater I made 😭😭😭 Which I haven't taken pics of yet because I wanted to wait until I finished the matching dog ones. But like. I am very pleased with this sweater. I have decided to make some for my family members for Christmas to practice. Then I think I might actually offer some for sale?? But we'll see. I think they'll continue turning out so nice, and perhaps other people might like them. But making the jump from selling sweaters for dogs to selling sweaters for people seems daunting. Like, yeah, tbh most stuff I buy for my dogs is far nicer than my own clothing, but still, I feel like there's a very high bar for handmade clothing, as you just can't justify spending more unless it's perfect.
But gosh, mine is legitimately the softest, comfiest, prettiest sweater I own, and I have been pretty much wearing it constantly.
Here is a not great pic of it:
I have sourced quite nice, high quality fleece for my dog sweaters, and turns out it's a far superior material to any fleece I've seen on storebought sweaters for humans as well. I have found fleece sweaters to be a bit itchy and too warm and staticy before, but clearly this particular fleece is much better than anything I've tried for myself before. Plus I can never find anything storebought in such rich, vibrant colours as many of my fabrics.
