Also, please give me feedback guys and you can request one-shots if you like just ask me for one :) Cheers! ** Just one glance and that was it. Two fates binded together in lust and confusion from one simple look. A look which would make or break Eden and Rachel. Two lost souls colliding. That was all it took. [1] "Rachel, you best get your butt round here later. Party starts at 8 remember!?" Fernando exclaimed down the phone. Rachel loved her brother but Fernando could be quite demanding, asking her to all of the teams parties and dinners. Not that this was a problem - Rachel was a huge Chelsea fan - it's just sometimes she felt embarrassed because she always turned up alone as opposed to a wag, linked arms with one of the players. "Yep Nando, I'll be there. See you at 8" Rachel replied unenthusiastically. "Aww yay, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. See you later Chica!" Fernando said happily before hanging up on her. [2] Rachel pulled her car onto the drive of Fernando's house. The car park was already seemingly full of expensive sports cars and between Ferraris, Bentleys and Aston Martins, Rachel's Volvo looked out of place. But Rachel always managed to shrug it off carelessly anyway. She knocked on the front door, brushing a small crease out of her knee-length royal blue lace dress and running her fingers through her soft curled hair. She looked exceptionally good tonight, putting a large effort into her appearance for a change to celebrate the Europa League victory of the blues. Fernando swung open the door quickly "Hey, Rach. How are y- wow..." Fernando looked at Rachel's dress "you look amazing tonight!" Fernando grinned. "Aww.. Thanks Nando" Rachel blushed, looking down at her dress. Fernando nodded and pulled Rachel into the bustling party going on inside his house. Bass and drum music filled her ears as Rachel made her way into the kitchen of the house to get herself a drink. Pouring herself a glass of red wine, Rachel watched people walking in and out of the kitchen. Some familiar faces like Olalla, David, Oscar and César wondered in to welcome her with hugs and kisses. Everyone seemed to adore Rachel. She was everyone's best friend or little sister. "So then Rachel have you met the newest member of the first team?" Olalla asked with a smirk on her face. "Hmm.. No, I don't believe I have. Why, who is he?" She replied, a curious questioning tone to her voice. "Well, wouldn't you like to know?" Olalla giggled childishly "Eden Hazard, Belgian international. If I were you I'd go meet him" "You trying to pair us two up?" Rachel asked, rolling her eyes. "Hmm, maybe.." Olalla chuckled "just look out for him, he's hard to miss" she smirked before walking off. Rachel groaned, shaking her head and walking off into the living room to sit absent-mindedly on the couch. She watched everyone smiling and dancing, David and Sara and Oscar and Ludy hugging and kissing, always connected and never apart. She wished so hard for it. The one thing she'd never known. Love. Love in it's finest examples of passion and affection which she had only ever been able to witness. That was until she saw him. He stood in the corner of the dimly lighten room watching over his happy teammates silently. She felt his shyness. She felt how lost he was. He must've sensed her looking at him as he turned his head to look in her direction. Their eyes met, glimmering with curiosity. Just one glance and that was it. Two fates binded together in lust and confusion from one simple look. A look which would make or break Eden and Rachel. Two lost souls colliding. That was all it took. Eden finally broke the look to walk over to her, smoothing out the creases in his dark grey acid wash jeans. Rachel pursed her ruby lips. Everything froze. Time stopped for them. "Umm- Heyl- Hello" Eden struggled, stuttering, his English clearly limited. Eden felt disappointed in himself for his slight incapability but Rachel smiled and chuckled at his effort. "Hello.. You're Eden right? What language do you speak?" Rachel asked, hoping that he'd manage to understand. Eden nodded. "Français. Oui, je suis Eden" he smiled, the words flowing easily off his tongue. Rachel grinned, finally her French high school lessons were coming to good use.. "Ah, bonjour Eden. Je m'appelle Rachel. Excusez mon français, je suis espagnol" she replied. "Oui, Vous êtes la sœur de Fernando?" He asked. Rachel's eyes lit up. He knew who she was. Well.. Sort of.. "Yeah! Oui!" She grinned and Eden smirked at her burst of enthusiasm. Eden decided to try at English again. "Uh, well, please to met you" he smiled genuinely. "You too.." Rachel nodded at him. "Uhm.. I like you. You want to go out like.. dinner?" Eden blushed. "Oh my. Oui, yes. I'd love too!" Rachel grinned. It'd been two minutes with Mr. Perfect-Belgian-International and she'd already been asked out on a date. "Parfait! Tomorrow?" "Sure, yes.." "So, I pick you up at umm sept- seven yes?" Eden smiled. "Yes. It'll be great, merci.." Rachel grinned, writing her number down on a piece of paper and handing it to Eden "call me later then, okay?" "Okay, oui... I'll see you tomorrow beau. Au revoir..." He grinned, getting up, leaving her with one last smouldering stare. And that was the moment Rachel fell in love. [3] It had been about 6 months since that night and it was the day before Eden's birthday. "Do you have to go?" Rachel groaned. The rest of the Chelsea teammates had decided to organise a night out in central London hitting the club's with Eden, leaving Rachel with Sara, Ludy and Olalla. She didn't mind but Rachel and Eden were always together so it hurt when he wasn't around, even if it was for a few hours. "I'm sorry Rach, the guys want me to go, I can't turn them down.." Eden smiled softly at her, kissing her forehead. "Don't worry, have fun. Me and the girls are going to watch some chick-flicks and stuff" she giggled. She never really fit into the whole girly, sleepover sort of scene until now, as a "wag." "I will do. I'll not be too late.." He winked reassuringly, kissing her lips softly. "Okay baby, you enjoy. Don't get too drunk though babe, I have a surprise for you tomorrow!" Rachel reminded Eden. "I won't do. I promise" Eden smiled "I love you" "I love you too..." [4] Eden pounded his fist against Fernando's front door to which Olalla quickly opened alongside Fernando. "Where is she?" Eden asked, his eyes bloodshot from an evident lack of sleep. Fernando quickly jumped up into action. "She's not your concern anymore, Eden. This is all your fault. I knew I shouldn't have let myself stand by and watch you hurt her but you really did cross the line. She's just a kid, Eden. She can't handle you messing about like this. We're all so ashamed of you!" Fernando shouted at Eden, about ready to hit him. The headlines of the papers flashed through Eden's mind. "GRABBING HAZARD" they had read, alongside a picture of Eden seemingly groping a busty blonde supermodel type girl in a club as she returned the favour. Eden hated himself as soon as he had realised the reality of what he had done, as did his teammates. No one could believe how disrespectful he had been and how he could just toss Rachel aside the way he did. "Come on Fernando, I need to talk to her. I need to apologize. I love her. She's my whole life, I can't lose her. Please.." Eden begged, an attempt at reasoning with the protection of Fernando. "She was a smart girl until she fell in love.." Fernando mumbled "she's in the living room..." He sighed, defeated as Eden brushed past him into the sitting room of Fernando's house. Rachel was lay there, in a mound of pillows and fleeced blankets, her bubble of protection. Eden coughed softly, awakening her from her world of day dreaming. Rachel sat up. She was a mess. Her hair tangled and her eye make-up smudged down her cheeks. "Eden? W- what are you doing here?" She sniffled. "I'm here to apologize.." He sighed. "I don't want to hear your apologies. I have nothing to say to you." Rachel frowned, her forehead heavily creased as she looked down. "Remember what you told me on our first date?" Eden asked, catching Rachel off guard. "Huh?" She asked confusedly, her good memories eluded by the misfortune of the previous day. "You told me that one of the hardest parts of life is deciding whether to walk away from a good thing when it goes wrong or to try harder with it..." Eden paused looking down at Rachel "this is me. I'm here, ready to try harder" Rachel's heart simply ached, fluttering as if it was ready to leap from her chest. All she wanted was to throw herself into Eden's arms and for everything to be better. It was never going to be that simple. Tears flooded Rachel's eyes as she looked up at Eden. "I don't understand how I deserve to feel this much pain, Eden.." she began to cry. Eden's eyes watered at the sight. "You don't.." He said, dropping to his knees "you shouldn't hurt. I can make it all better..." He sighed, crawling over to her and pressing his lips to her forehead. She closed her eyes tight, tears rolling down her cheeks as she inhaled his scent. "But I'm scared, Eden.." Rachel whispered. Eden looked Rachel in the eyes. "The whole secret of existence is to have no fear.." He mumbled "look at you. You're so young and perfect. What do you have to be afraid of?" "Love.." Rachel replied simply, her soft voice ready to break. Tears escaped Eden's eyes, rolling down his soft cheeks. "Love is nothing to be afraid of. I promise you. I'm in love and I'm not afraid. We're the greatest; me and you. If it takes you years to realise that again, I'll make you. I won't give up. I'm going to try harder.." Eden said, his voice cracking in defeat. Rachel watched Eden closely. "Is this how love is supposed to feel?" She sobbed. "Only at it's worst. It hurts so much because of the idea of the loss of the one you love. You're not afraid of love, but afraid of the absence of it.." Eden replied, wiping her tears away softly. "Why do you care? Why do you love me so much?" Rachel questioned. "It's hard to explain. You're interesting and different and I like that. You're one of a kind. Unlike anyone I have ever met. A perfect fit for someone like me. We're good for each other. We're good support. Or, we were." Eden sighed "I can get us to work again though. By changing your mind, you change everything that's happened. Please, don't leave me. I beg you..." Eden whispered, wrapping his arms around Rachel. Rachel looked into his eyes, a soft glint of forgiveness in her eyes. "Who said I had changed my mind?" She asked him. Eden looked up at her, a curious smile tugging at her lips. "You mean you-" Rachel cut him off by pressing her lips to his. "I mean, I have found my sunshine. Why would I cast it away?" She smiled at Eden sympathetically. ** Just one glance and that was it.
