This young person’s experience of being a minority in a classroom where she is openly hatessed with racist remarks. For months, she tries to go to teachers, principals, school officials for assistance. In the end, no one tried to intervene and allowed the racist bullying to continue. As in Republican Red States, the movement for silencing open conversations and history about the Civil Rights to the Queer Rights movement. In Slaton, Texas this hopeful valedictorian finally had enough for constant racist harassment and shook the bully. A video was recorded and she was sent to a disciplinary school and lost her way of life. Shame of the Slaton School District, it’s officials and anyone in that area that supports this blatant act of discrimination, and allowing this open hate speech, and despicable racial harassment.
