So apparently because there were protests at the Capitol in response to the Zimmerman verdict, Publix's corporate office told Publix stores in Tallahassee to take all of their carts, trashcans and anything else that is ALWAYS left outside overnight, and bring them inside until they open the next day.
Not only does this create a shit ton of more work for people that are underpaid and unappreciated but it shows the ignorance of Publix's (primarily white) corporate division in the fact that they think because some people (primarily black) are (peacefully) protesting at the Capitol building that those people would have some sudden inclination to go to a Publix store (that has nothing to do with the Zimmerman/Martin ordeal) and start a riot in the parking lot and steal carts and trashcans or try and break in or something, I don't know. It's so stupid I couldn't even handle it at work today.
