"Is it okay to chest bind if I identify as a woman?" "I'm cis but I want to use binders" "Is it okay to go on T if I'm a cis woman-"
BUDDY. FRIEND. PAL. YOU DO NOT NEED PERMISSION. THOSE RESOURCES AREN'T AVAILABLE FOR ONE SPECIFIC GROUP! THEY'RE AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT! STOP ASKING FOR PERMISSION I PROMISE YOU NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU DO!
Edit: Radqueers fuck off. This post is not for you.
Can we please normalize and be normal about people going their entire life without sex, kissing, marriage, romance, a partner, dating and anything adjecent. Thank you for your participation.
Hey reminder that allonormativity is specifically intertwined with patriarchal heteronormativity. By which I mean — society does not only want everyone to have sex, it wants a very narrow definition of sex; heterosexual, monogamous, post-marriage sex that requires a romantic relationship, and in many spaces should only be had for the intention of having children.
Queer people who have sex do not benefit in this system and are seen as predators or ‘sexual deviants.’ Queer people who do not have sex do not benefit in this system because sex is viewed as a sort of taboo temptation that everyone will do eventually, and a requirement of marriage (which is also considered a requirement to be “successful” in life).
Which means that sex-averse and repulsed ace people are not “people pretending to be oppressed,” they’re not “people who don’t fancy a shag,” and it also means that ace people who do want to have sex and do talk about their experiences and say that asexuality =/= hating sex are not ‘trying to prove they can be normal’, they’re not traitors to the ace community, and they’re almost never materially benefitting from patriarchal heteronormativity and allonormativity.

Notes:
[PT: Notes]
This-is-transgynephobia, this-is-biphobia, and this-is-sapphicphobia is run by a racist mod [link] (more examples are under the cut*) who stalks people and makes tons of accounts, do not follow those accounts.
This-is-transandrophobia is an endophobe [link], do not follow that account.
This-is-transmisandry is paramisic (has reblogged content conflating pedophile/zoophile with predator, has them on their DNI on their personal account, has reblogged content promoting authoritarian censorship.) Please do not harass (this goes for the other accounts too, but I'm extra specifying that here cuz this is a minor.)
Thisis-paraphilicsocialostracization is an endophobe [link], do not follow that account. UPDATE: So the account removed the endophobic statement from that post, but it did exist. They also removed all comments relating to it, completely erasing accountability.
This-is-islamophobia doesn't support LGBTQIA+ people [link], disregards enben ("both genders"), and goes by the "respect but don't support" rule, which isolates LGBTQIA+ Muslims from the account and also perpetuates the idea that queerness is a sin or choice.
To the people telling me that not every @ works - the reason why is because Tumblr only allows 50 mentions per post. There's nothing I can do about it.
Aroace culture is hating that straight people can’t be normal about children. If a toddler has a friend that’s the opposite sex, they’ll be like, ‘ooh, is she your girlfriend?’ Karen, Jayden is three years old and he cried yesterday because he found out that worms don’t have legs. Let kids be kids, and don’t force your heteronormativity on literal toddlers.
And I think one of the biggest reasons people think butchfemme is heteronormative is because they forget that butchfemme are political identities first and aesthetic identities second
