DnD asks 6., 7., 11., 12., 23. & 25. for Konstantine!
6. What’s their theme song?Well, I have a whole playlist of songs relating to him, but his “theme” has always been Suzanne Vega’s “Tired of Sleeping”, which I have interpreted way more seriously than it probably should. :P It’s definitely relating more to his childhood, but I think it fits.
Oh Mom, the bird on the string is hangingHer bones are twisting and dancingShe’s fighting for her small lifeOh Mom, I wonder when I’ll be wakingIt’s just that there’s so much to doAnd I’m tired of sleeping
7. What fictional character are they most like? Was this an intentional or accidental influence?Coming hard with them tough questions, aren’t we? :P My first thoughts went to Wynne. They’re similar probably more because of their similar circumstances, but they do have some similarities in character as well: generally good-natured but absolutely suffer no fools, outwardly distant from Circle politics yet secretly more radical than they’d like to admit etc. I had no intentional influences creating him.
11. What is their favorite anime? He’d be so into FMA, ngl. :D
12. What’s their favorite beverage?Apple juice.
23. Thoughts on death?Plenty. He used to be super-afraid of it, partly because his parents were so sure he’d keel over dead any second so they mostly kept him locked up at their estate. He got better about it when he met his aunt, who had died of the similar illness at their family crypt and of course later having a direct influence on his own lifespan certainly helped. In general he has been ready for his own death for a long time now.
The fact that after he was banished from Nevarra, that he no longer has a place secured in the family crypt has opened some old fears. That had been such a constant in his life, no matter when he died, he’d have a place there, someone would take care of his body, someone would check out how he died and maybe learn something from it that could be helpful to others. Now he’s going to die alone, in that sense, his body either burned as Andrastians do or dropped into the sea, leaving nothing behind, and that’s scarier to him than actual dying. He’s dealing with that relatively well, though, the ship keeps him busy.
He has been very preoccupied with his own death for most of his life, so he deals very very poorly on anyone else’s dying, since he has always believed he’d be the first one to go, and refuses to think of the possibility that someone he cares about (who are few and far in between) may actually die before he does.
25. Favorite animal?Cats (his family had a siamese cat when he was little), sparrows (lots of them around his childhood home).
