Radiance at my face is what this morning’s Biodynamic Meditation was about. When I first started sensing it years ago, it was as a band across the middle of my face, under my eyes. It’s expanded to where now it covers my whole face and ears. It came to encompass my crown, third eye, and throat chakras today. However, it is not chakra energy, which is local. This sensation of energy is called the Long Tide, or the Air Tide, in Craniosacral Biodynamics, and some people sense it differently. I’ve sensed it in my forearms and hands before. Some sense the energy as moving toward and away from their midline, moving 55 seconds in each direction. I’ve sensed that too but my mind typically doesn’t want to get that analytical. I’m interested in sensing it with more of my system, and that is happening. There seems to be a consensus among teachers and practitioners that it comes from “far away”. Some sense it as coming from over the horizon. One person I know believes it’s the human energy field resonating with cosmic waves through the earth’s filter. While I was sensing radiance, I also sensed the tide moving up and down my midline, and my middle — heart and solar plexus — chakras open. In a way, Biodynamic Meditation is all about simply sensing yourself without a story. It’s your own living nature.
