I know I never post “professional modeling” photos anymore, but the truth behind that is that social media marketing really killed a lot of that world. Being a professional model for the last 13 years, when social media really hit hard around 2013, a lot of companies weren’t hiring models as much anymore for shoots bc it was more lucrative for them to kick product to “influencers”. Personally, I had to transition my pages to survive and stay relevant as an artist. In that, without being heavily influenced by magazine publications’ needs + brand opinions anymore, I was able to really morph into the person + artist I believe I truly am deep down, and with that transition, I built my own brand.
