@radiantpriamos asked
"Hey, Ignatz right?" Priam knew what he was about to bring up was perhaps a sore spot, so he would try to keep it positive. "I just wanted to tell you, you should feel proud you entered the dance competition. Doesn't matter what the judges say, I say you put yourself out there, all alone in fact, and that takes guts. Bravery's a kind of strength in my book." He clapped Ignatz's shoulder. "Get out there and enjoy yourself, eh?"
Ignatz recognized the man who approached him as his first (and last) opponent in the dance contest. “Yes, that’s me. You’re Priam, right?” He hadn’t introduced himself at their match because Ignatz ran off as soon as his dance was over. He needed to get the nurse to revive the judge that he made faint.
When Priam mentioned his performance, Ignatz panicked. He was hoping everyone would forget, or at least never mention it to him ever again. He had assumed his artistic abilities would transfer to his dancing skills, but nothing could be further from the truth.
“Uh... well... thank you... sorry I wasn’t the best first opponent...” Ignatz fidgeted his signet ring. “Thanks for being... um... such a good sport. Should we trade stamps?”
