The verbal lashing she received from Elrond was probably the most intense one yet. The lecture alone would’ve killed her, but the tone of one of a disappointed teacher; that grinded her nerves raw. She had completed her mission, and returned by the allotted time...sort of. She definitely didn’t stop off in Dale to pick up a small token for her close friend, and confidant.
She tried to soothe the scowl upon her features as she turned the corner to go visit her dear friend, Celebrian. She entered the small veranda and let out a soft sigh.
“ He’s getting creative with his lectures, you know.” she said from the doorway as she rested against the frame. She crossed her arms over her chest and watched the other with a mild interest.
“ I was certain the vein in his head was about to pop.” she went on and moved closer to her friend before manifesting a small wooden horse.
“ I thought you would like it. I got it in Dale. Human made.” Lark never hid her fondness for humans. She didn’t hide her fondness for dwarves and hobbits as well. She found those who lived in complete opposite of her appealing and it showed in the gifts she would bestow her friend.
“ He isn’t driving you to madness is he?” she asked after a moment of quiet.

It is high noon when Efailwen comes marching into the courtyard of the Last Homely House carrying a bundle of fishing rods and a basket, followed closely behind by two sopping wet twins. All the way back from the Bruinen, she’d been hoping to avoid the boys mother or father, lest they ask how this happened. Alas, she is not so lucky. They’ve been caught by none other than their mother, Celebrían, herself.
“I can explain,” Efailwen starts as Elladan and Elrohir charging past her with their clothes dripping river water all over the paving stones.
