Day 20: This is (not) the end
Another season has passed and my it has been quite a season. I've had a lot of change to go through and it's been for the better. I've learned some things and have greater ambitions for the future.
A thought that i go back and forth in my mind is this;
"Is what I am doing worth the risk?"
The reason for this is because i don't know how to define my failure. It's often said about business ventures that within the first 5 years they fail. But what defines that failure? Is it the money that was made? Is is the amount of growth? Is it the level of hype around a product?
I've learned through skateboarding that Failure is a callous for growth.
People who don't skateboard often poke fun at people who fall but what they don't realize is that gravity allows skateboarders the possibility of risk by way of falling.
The fact is if you never fail, you will never learn but you can't let your failures hold you back from choosing to try again.
With that said, I would just like to say that RadicalGrip is Dead.
Yes RadicalGrip, the brand of griptape that I am trying to sustain is dead. What I really mean is that RadicalGrip needs a Resurrection. I haven't been able to focus on it as much but I do think that is a lot of ground work that has be done for it because they is a lot that i want to do from video projects, and clothing graphics. From my perspective the habitat that i am currently in isn't going to help me at this point and I would like to grow in my skills as an artist.
I am in a transition phase via going to OCAD University in Toronto for the purpose of studying Graphic Design. So for now RadicalGrip is as of now underground. There will be some updates as needed for the brand but I need to develop my own skills and connect with other creative people in order to collaborate for the future.
I have 2 videos that are more or less promo clips and some photos as well from a photographer from Toronto which will come tomorrow and later this week.
If you have been following this inception of RadicalGrip for the past year thanks, and remember to WAKE UP to the creativity within your soul.
