True Athelite CEO visits "The Friday Pre-Game Show"
Andrew Arcangel, founder and CEO of True Athelite, had nothing but positive, inspirational words to say to Rob and Scott, hosts of the sports radio talk show on Radio DC the Voice on December 7 2012. Arcangel, 23, resident of Rockland County, shared great information about his True Athelite product. He aspires to make True Athelite the premier sportswear for basketball athletes everywhere.
Graduating from Fordham University in 2011, Andrew Arcangel was confident in his work done in the classrooms and in the clubs he participated in (he co-founded and became VP of the Fordham University Entrepreneurship Society) and made the bold decision to avoid taking the normal route of getting a stable job in his field of study to materialize his dreams of creating a successful sports product. Everything from the website, the basketball sports apparel, the logo, and not to mention the hardwork and research put into improving prototypes are designed/administered by Andrew. Andrew takes great pride in his work. He loves challenges. He even admits he barely sleeps, "I don't sleep, I take naps." Andrew Arcangel is all in for True Athelite. He breathes, eats, and sleeps (well, naps) True Athelite.
It was such an honor to have Andrew Arcangel on The Friday Pre-Game Show. He is quite an inspiration. If he can help anyone in anyway, he is all about it. There is no doubt Mr. Arcangel has the mindset of a champion, it was evident on air and off air when Rob and Scott chatted with him. His positivity is contagious. His words of encouragement to the two young freshmen are worth noting.
Arcangel definitely made his mark here at the Radio DC studio. Along with improving his product, he looks to make the difference in sportswear and in the community. Dedicated, Positive, Inspirational are three words that come to mind when describing Andrew. These qualities have led him to where he is now, and those same qualities will lead him to the future success of his company.

The legend Bob Marley
In a surprise turn of events I found out today was the famous artists birthday, Bob Marley. For those that do not know of the legend here is a link to one of his more popular songs (Buffalo Soldier): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pzOx-Zzh2k
He was born on February 6, 1945 in the village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. He was born with a black mother and a white father, who died when bob was 10 years old. This is not only devastating to anyone, but he was still a kid when this happened. An event like that would ruin anyone, but what seemed to hurt him more than his own fathers death was questioning his racial identity. He was caught in the middle of either being of English descent or that of Jamaican descent. After having it eat him up inside he came to a mature conclusion: "I don't have prejudice against meself. My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don't dip on nobody's side. Me don't dip on the black man's side nor the white man's side. Me dip on God's side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white." For anyone to come to this conclusion at such an early age shows how open and spiritual of a person he was. This man didn't care what his descent was, because he came from the same God as everyone else.
As his music career picked up he would sing songs of peace, love, and unity for all people no matter what race or culture they were. As for example, in the song "Don't worry Be Happy", he says for people not to worry about the stress and pain of their lives. Every life has its worries and troubles that we all want to run away from, but Bob Marley says to be happy about the little things in life and to smile like you mean it. It is up beat songs like that that still make him a legend even many years after his death. If you have the time today please take 4-5 minutes and listen to one of his songs in respect for this man.
