And Now, The Feature Presentation...
I'm sick as a dog right now. My stomach is killing, I'm hotter...than usual ;)...and I've probably been on the toilet more than my bed (DI POO POO). There is a bowl of Chicken Noodle soup and a cup of ginger ale on my night stand, a garbage can next to my bed...for precautionary reasons...and 5 of my all time favourite movies in one of my drawers. Sickness and movie watching go hand in hand. They are a match made in heaven and it's only a matter of time before I pop in one of those movies on my ps3 or VCR. (Oh yeah! two of my favourite movies are still on video cassette) From 1-5, these are my ALL-TIME favourite movies:
5. Silver Lining's Playbook
AHHHH KELLY CLARKSON! The 40-year old virgin will always be my all-time favourite movie. The first time i watched it, when I was like 13 (hey, don't judge!) I died of laughter. From chest waxing to a big o'l box of porn, every scene in that movie was hilarious. I loved it so much that I watched it probably over 20 times and by the end of it all, I knew all the words to the movie. Mooj was my favourite character. Nuff said http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He4lBMN-rjo
A Bronx Tale. This is one of the two movies that I own on VHS. This is a great movie. I am a big fan of Mafia/ Italian Mobster movies. A Bronx Tale ranks at number one for me. Ahead of Goodfellas and ahead of The Godfather. Fuhgetabout it! One of the reasons why I love this movie is because of the connection you make with each character. Each character represents a different dimension of me. You've got your funny Joe, Serious Joe, deep Joe, crazy Joe, etc. This movie also has tons of memorable and thought provoking quotes. Call me corny but there are a few of them that I even live by. One of those is the door test. Oh baby does this ever work! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyj2VNVB8qk
Officer Hanratty, life is like a box of chocolates...I am a HUGE Tom Hanks fan so Catch Me If You Can and Forrest Gump (2nd movie that's VHS) are defiantly in my top five fav movies of all-time. Tom Hanks has range. He can perform any character and perform it well. His newest role as an announcing teacher for the Radio broadcasting program at a Canadian college is great! (DOES NEIL MATHUR NOT LOOK LIKE TOM HANKS?!!?) I am a big fan of dramas so that's another reason why I love A Bronx Tale and Catch Me If You Can. The performance of both Hanks and DiCaprio was awesome! The fact that the movie was based on a true story made it that much better. I've always wanted to become an actor so I guess that's another reason why Catch Me If You Can and Forrest Gump are my fav movies because the acting in it was phenomenal. In both movies, the plots were great. One was very dramatic (posing as a pilot, did you see how Leo would do it?!? UNREAL!!) while the other was very entertaining (Bubba-Gump Shrimp, Lieutenant Dan, Run Forrest run!)
This movie was nominated for an academy award so, you know it's good! Okay, I'll be honest here. Call me a lil' bitch, the thing Rob Ford claims that he has a lot of at home, or a loser but I am a sucker for romance movies. I ain't afraid to admit it! U.E.N.O. It! I aint worried bout nun!! They're actually really good, man! I know Silver Lining's Playbook is fairly new but once I seen it, I fell in love. I have to rank it as my 5th fav movie of all time. The ending was spectacular. It brought the whole movie together and just made you say "AWWWWWWWWWW!!" I MIGHT have shedded a tear, maybe, possibly...okay, I held it back but how could you not cry after this?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wRSFM4a5rA
