hiii ^^ We got two rats two days ago and one is very adventurous and even curious enough to climb an arm outside of the cage, while the other is very afraid and mostly stays under his lil roof or in a corner. (The adventurous one, Panterat, even brings the shy one, Ultrat Vomit, food). I know they need some time to adapt, especially Ultrat vomit but is there anything I can do to make him seel safer? Both the rats are friends and have lived their lives together

You know im having the exact same thing with Angus and Cidney right now so we’re on the same page here. Angus is still getting use to me but Cidney seems really chill. One of the things I do is let Angus get use to seeing me and my voice, i’ll open the cage door and just have my hand down and let them come to me and check it out. Another thing is to bring the treats to them in their house and slowly coax them out over time until when they see you, they’ll come on over.

In the end, they might need some more time in the cage and getting use to everything until the little nugget is readyI’m sure theres more then that to help a shy rat out and if anyone here has any advice on what they do please share! But I hope this gives a little bit of help regardless :)
