We did it! Holy Aunt Jemima, what a journey. We still have a ton of other footage, pictures and other stuff to post, but I wanted to take a second to thank everyone who helped us out on our nearly 11,000km Radiotrip!
I can’t even begin to tell you how enthused I am right now to strive and push even harder to break into this business. After meeting, what I’m thinking is close to 125+ radio professionals, I’m stoked to get going. If I met you along the way, I can guarantee that you helped energize me. Thanks for taking the time to meet with us, share your wisdom (and a few horror stories), thanks for introducing us to your teams and most importantly taking a step to help showcase what eager and passionate broadcasters can do!
You are all awesome and you better believe that I will be staying in touch… I mean it… you are going to be sick of me, so you might as well just hire me now!

P.S. I love this video, because after 19 days on the road Gabrielle didn’t understand where the camera was on my phone… this amuses me, not sure why!
Personal Post from Gabrielle
So you guys are getting to know me pretty well... From what you see on camera, hear on the air, and read in my blog rants etc. What can I say, I'm hilarious! Right?! Well yeah, I wanted to share something a little more personal today since we are just about finished this trip.
The radio industry is transient. Once you enter, you move around a lot, market to market, position to position, working your way up the chain right? It's a fascinating and adventure-filled journey that truly excites me. What we haven't really talked about... something that most people (apart from I think one) in the Radio Industry have not mentioned in our interviews... is love. Where does it fit? How do you make it work when you are the one coming home and saying, "Babe... I got this great job, let's move to the middle of nowhere." It's gotta be hard! It is hard.
I'm a girl who falls in love pretty hard, maybe a little too easily, but it's just one of those things that I have learned to roll with. When I was in my last semester of school, I was pumped on being an independent woman, ready to take the radio world by storm, move wherever I need to move and DO IT! Then I fell in love! (Of course). Anyways, it's brought up some things that I think are totally necessary to discuss! I know I'm not the only one who struggles with this. Where is the line? How much can I ask my partner to sacrifice? Should I even ask? What are my priorities... a relationship or a career? Can you do both?
The answers are different for everyone. I'm going to tell you right now (in case you were waiting) I don't have any wise, life-altering words of wisdom to share with you. I guess my thoughts on the issue are this: When you meet the right person, there is no such thing as sacrifice. You just want the best for eachother. All I want to do right now is say thank-you to my girlfriend because I have never met someone who is so selfless and supportive of everything I do. She made me believe it is possible to go after a career and a relationship.
Thanks Clorisa, for believing in me with your big heart and unwavering positivity.
Haven't seen her in 18 days but she sent me this song today (that she wrote).
Now you know, I love a lot and I'm always going to share too much.

So, looking back on the blog we haven't updated you on where we have been, station wise?! What's up with that? That's just crazy talk. I wanted to take a second to catch you all up. You've watched our videos and our amazing singing but that's just a small portion.
There are a lot of stations and people that we have met along the way. From Tammy Cole at Virgin 104.9 in Edmonton who took us out for an amazing burger to Ryder at Wired 96.3 in Saskatoon. But that's just for starters:
- Tamara Stanners/James Sutton - 100.5 The Peak (Vancouver, BC) - Evolution 107.9 (Vancouver, BC) - Nesta Matthews - 103.9 The Juice (Kelowna, BC) - K96.3 (Kelowna, BC) - Ian Mackinnon - 99.9 Sun FM (Kelowna, BC) - EZ Rock 101.1 (Kelowna, BC) - AM 1150 (Kelowna, BC) - Power 104 (Kelowna, BC) - Troy Scott - Q 103.1 (Kelowna, BC) - KISS 107.5 FM (Vernon, BC) - Rob Jamieson, Bruce Daniels - The Range 106.1 (Airdrie, AB) - Matt Van Essen - 98.5 Virgin FM (Calgary) - Dennis - Kraze 101.3 - (Red Deer, AB) - Abbey White - KG Country 95.5 (Red Deer, AB) - Tim Schaab, Jesse Lavendel - Sunny 94 (Lacombe, AB) - Tammy Cole - Virgin 104.9 (Edmonton, AB) - Penny Thast - Sonic 102.9 (Edmonton, AB) - Ryder - Wired 96.3 (Saskatoon, SK) - Dawn Woroniuk - Saskatoon Media Group (Saskatoon, SK) - 89.5 Mix FM (Kenora, ON) - www.radioviz.com (Oakville, ON) - Ian March, Milky - Majic 100.3/93.9 BOB FM (Ottawa, ON)
And that's just the beginning! We still have a bunch of stations to hit up on the way back and I have to say, I CAN'T WAIT! We plan to go to Winnipeg, Regina, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Castlegar as well as any station that we run into. So, if you are on that route, let us know and we will try and meet up with you!
We are half way through!

Challenge: Do the Macarena.
Jen Grier challenged us to do the macarena in every town we stop in, but since we are stopping in so many we thought it might get a little boring... So we made a jingle to go along with it to tell you about our day!! At the end we will compile them all... This video is a little late because BC is sparce in the Wi-Fi area. We are now in Airdrie, Alberta at a Starbucks... Get stoked for the next one!!

I love my Mazda 3... it's my baby. I've only had it for a couple months and we are about to do a lot of quality bonding time. However, before I even think about letting Gabrielle drive my baby across the country, I had to conduct a road test.
This is how it all turned out... looks like I might be doing more of the driving ;)

Vlog #3
I decided to do my first "solo" video blog appearance. Apparently I talk a lot. Anyways, Mitch and I met today (we were supposed to write a press release), we ended up mostly just talking and realized that we are two different people and therefore want two different things out of this trip. (Of course both of us want a job too). Here's my reasoning behind Radiotrip, and a little bit more about me!
