Eat noodles with me.
Batman had done his fair share of odd things in his life. The list literally could on and on forever in the batcave, and it would be never ending.
But ask he walked into the Cave's kitchen and spotted a hood-less empath sitting there amongst the chaos that was the Titans and the Team having a rambunctious team bonding session behind her in the living room, he couldn't help but notice her simplicity at what she was doing.
Slurping soundly at a cup of instant noodles, she soon sensed his brooding and questioning mood.
White material of his cowl covered his blue eyes as they stared into indigo, confusion hidden from his face but directly open to interpretation by an empath.
The silence stayed. It wasn't... uncomfortable by any means, simply strange.
Finally a levitating object flew into his vision.
"I tend to not bother with their antics, and would much prefer to do something more valuable with my time. It is too loud. Soup?"
Batman, slightly astounded, almost didn't reach for the cup as unnecessary carbs were not on his regular meals.
But this was a chance to study this new arrival, and Batman was a man of curiosity.
Taking the cup, he grabbed a fork, and began to non-chalently eat with the girl.
The silence stayed.
It was quite nice.
The noodles were a bit hot though.
Gamma Squad: [Kid Flash; Raven & Beast Boy]
Wally nodded at Batman, turning to his two other teammates. He was alone from the Team, but it didn't matter. This was an opportunity to see just what the other two could do, and get to know them a bit better. Cracking his knuckles, he grinned at the other two.
"Well, no time like the present!" He said, walking away from the other groups, so that the three of them could speak momentarily before departing. Settling at the opposite end of the debriefing space, he turned to his new teammates.
"So, I'm going to take this wild guess,' he said, pointing at the younger green skinned boy, 'that you're an animorph. That's rad as hell, by the way." He said, impressed by what Batman had told them of his abilities, but he was more anticipating seeing them in action.
"But, I'm sorry to say, I don't know what exactly you can do, Raven was it? Pretty name." He said, winking. Turning back towards the other boy, he thought for a second.
"Can you transform into anything?" He asked, genuinely curious. If he could, their transportation to London might be a bit more interesting than simply taking a Zeta.
Gamma Squad: [Kid Flash; Raven; Beast Boy] & [Blackfire]
Batman regarded the last three members standing before him, all at the opposite ends of the spectrum from one another.
One, bathed in dark clothing and hidden away from the world under her hood, stood Raven, an empath with incredible power. She was the most elusive of all the Titans who had traveled here, and as much as he hated to admit it, the girl was a challenge to him. She simply would not let him in, and for a teenager, that was a great feet.
But he was determined to get to the bottom of this girl.
The second, stood tall and ready, in a means so as to seem bigger. Batman had seen this tactic used thousands upon thousands of times again as a means of intimidation, but by the boys posture, he could sense that Beast Boy felt no wish to intimidate. Merely to impress and to not be shrouded in the background as this universe over took him. He decided that he reminded him of a younger in maturity version of the boy he now raised. One who seemed ready to take on the world, and enjoyed doing it.
The last, stood casually, eating a banana.
Kid Flash never was the main man of tact.
"Gamma Squad,' he said, turning to the last remaining group. 'there has been an exponential increase in destroyed property over the last 72 hours near London." Pulling up photos, Batman showed them images of a wrecked London Eye, Big Ben, and the dam leading through it wrecked completely. "Green Lantern, in a moment of luck, was able to place a tracer on the speculated source. Your mission is to find it, and cut it offline. Understood?" He finished, watching the last group before him.
