🍻 Rae & Axel
Axel - 6) Slow dance together
Some of the best times she had ever spent with Axel, well the ones she could remember, were down at Gaslight. The time there just seemed so unpredictable being unable to account for the sudden fallings out and the duty that was for them to solve a sudden ballroom brawl break out. Everyone had their fair share of getting their hands dirty and it came as a saving grace that she healed so quickly though there had been that one occasion she’d asked Axel to re-break her arm as the setting had taken wrong. He’d obliged a little too keenly but had shoved half a bottle of whiskey down the wolf’s throat beforehand.
Another day stood out as the nostalgic mood began taking hold, a rather embarrassing one really where the pair, she couldn’t really remember who had instigated it, probably her moved to the centre of the dance floor, their bodies pressed closer than either would have figured to be seen as a good idea. Lenore recalled her head just reaching a comfortable spot on his shoulder with her arms wrapped tightly around his waist with the smell of his cologne tantalising her senses. She didn’t see Axel in a romantic sense but she did feel comfortable, maybe even protected as she felt him replicate her hold. His chin raised a little to rest atop of her head.
No one had commented, the entire atmosphere carried some kind of chilled feel to it as their bodies slowly swayed, taking small steps moving them around the same little spot they had first taken too.
Sitting back, Lenore inhaled another lung full of smoke before breathing it out through her nose, the cigarette balancing at the corner of her mouth as her fingers tightened around the warm mug of coffee. Axel even now was one of those friends who knew exactly what she needed and made a point of just doing rather than questioning.
Rae - 11) Lose a bet and drink the shitmix prepared by the other
Rae Webster, she loved the girl to bits but the smell of the concoction she was putting together was making her feel more than a little green. She’d stopped reading the labels of the bottles as they were tilted, following one of a questionable thickness and colour expanded and fizzed at the bottom of the glass.
The bet had been something stupid, though had seemed a good idea at the time when it looked as though she was winning. The age old Cinnamon challenge where the objective is to film yourself eating a spoonful of ground cinnamon in under 60 seconds without drinking anything, then upload the video to the Internet. So, okay, they tweaked it a little, choosing to film one another and time how long it took to either be swallowed or coughed and spluttered all over the counter top.
FIVE blasted seconds! Rae had managed to hold it together for five more excruciating seconds before downing a pint of water and chucking her guts up in the wide ceramic sink. Something else the loser was put in line to clean up.
Looking back at the glass, Lenny couldn’t ignore the smug smirk crossing the other wolf’s face, a face she herself should have been proudly wearing. Scrunching her eyes tightly closed as she was handed the vial and weighty mixture it didn’t seem such a bad idea to pinch her own nose and down the contents without further thought. There was some chunkiness, though still easy enough to swallow and a strange sensation that struck as sprinkles?
Slamming the empty pint glass on the counter along with her fist, Lenore though back the tears threatening her reputation. She wasn’t upset by any stretch of the imagination but her body seemed to be reacting from the strain she had forced upon herself. “Bucket! QUICK!”
