wip wednesday! a bit late, but it’s still wednesday here!
first pic shows both wips i have: the chevron blanket mentioned in a previous wip wednesday post which is... proceeding, and that’s about all that can be said about it
the other wip is a new cast-on: the dustland sweater, which i am also planning on trying to do an approximation of the fade from the pierre pullover for.
for now though it’s just this lightest blue- the first fade won’t happen until nearer to the end of the yoke.
second and third pics show my cast-on from last night, and my most recent progress from [checks watch] about ten minutes ago. i’m right at the start of the yoke! :) lots of progress, but this is also just the start...

so the primary purpose for which i knit my ravenlight gloves - and no, “looking baller as hell” was not the primary purpose... mostly - was to keep my hands warm while at my computer since they have a tendency to get very cold
happy to report that, after putting them on when i noticed my hands were cold tonight, they have been working marvelously and my hands are nice and warm
... of course now my feet are cold, but all that means is that i should settle on a sock pattern and get me some socks made ovo
wip wednesday! i missed last week since i was stuck in office, but here's this week.
first, im almost done with the right glove of ravenlight! im about three-quarters of the way through the bind-off for the cuff here, and then i just have the thumb stitches to pick back up to do the ribbing there.
second, i figured i'd go ahead and finally post the current travel project i have on the needles. it's a simple chevron pattern baby blanket, and the pattern repeat is easily memorized, so it makes a good mindless project to pull out during tabletop games. 14 rows of the variegated yarn, ten rows of the white, and you get this.

and here it is!!!
one (1) fingerless glove done, one to go!
do note that this is unblocked- basically as soon as i got it off the needles, wove in the ends, and turned it right-side out for the first time. i am going to block this, mostly because i think that’ll help even out just a lil bit of tension weirdness.
(it’s not enough tension weirdness to screw with the pattern, it’s just enough to bother me :P)
either way, i’d call this a success! now to just do the next one...

alright, left glove done... moment of truth....
i only have two rows of the colourwork chart left on this glove (and then the ribbing) but alas,
i must be a responsible adult and put myself to bed 😔
this is actually looking like a glove now fancy that
