frantzbroetchen answered: Really depends how much you are going to use it at Uni, statistics and mathematics classes suck with a mac because your lecturer will most likely only explain how to do anything on a mac. other than that they a great. I would never go back to a pc
raerose8889 answered: I didn’t know much about computers when I went to college, but I went with a Mac. My Mac lasted all 4 years of college and only needed a (free) repair once. Some of my friends went through a PC every year of college and had constant failures.
Thank you! I’m not that interested in stats and math-- unless they come up in poli sci classes I’m planning on taking when I get to college, although that’s still a year away. I currently have a PC, which I was very happy with until this week when its hard drive failed-- and it was only two years old. I’m getting tired of dropping anywhere from $300-$700 on a PC that fails on me, seeing as this was the third failure/break in five years. (The laptop I’m on now is my old one, which is nearly severed in two, and has a rather... overactive fan.) I kind of really need a computer for this year and beyond, though, so I’m looking into my options, and I appreciate your input!
