So finding their familiars is a big moment for seraphs- kinda similar to the extent of importance a wedding is to a variety of different human cultures. For most seraphs, it’s a time filled of touching memorable moments in the beginning as familiars get acquainted with their ways…
Unless you’re Ah’den, of course. Ah’den, who’s two familiars wanted to kill him or hated him, respectfully, for each of their the first year(s). Which is ironic, as he was one of the only seraphs who initially didn’t want familiars- only changing when he found his first…regardless that he (Cassius) tried to kill him afterward. Many times.

Another OC drop for the ocverse! Woo!
This is Nysemia, a Seraph reigning from the Ah’nik clan. Part of the legislation, she’s basically like the director of bookkeeping for all Seraphical familiars. Including when they found them, when they inducted them, so on and so forth.
More importantly, she’s the one seraph every familiar has met. Before being formally inducted as a familiar, Nysemia personally visits each and every familiar to conduct an evaluation of loyalty to their seraph- basically assuring each familiar is OK with being inducted before actually happening.
