Raevik what colour ooze do you think makes the tastiest soup, or does a combination of different oozes make a better soup?

Raevik stares at you in response to the question. Beyond a slight ear twitch you have no clear sign of recognition of the question. After a few seconds he huffs softly.

"My opinions on taste are, if you would ask Terang Bulan, unrefined." The last word is spoken with a raise of his right brow. He continues, finding a wall to make himself comfortable on as he ponders the question.

"Oozes taste largely the same, in general what you look out for when selecting them is how sturdy the membrane is. You can cook blood oozes rather well as their membrane will only soften. Rust oozes and especially translucent oozes are... not advisable"

He lays himself back on his perch, tilting his head to look down with one eye. "Blue oozes are also rather hopeless, but you can scrape the slime of their membrane. They are rather nutritional."

Then, with mild consternation he adds. "I would not know how to combine them. Terang Bulan has not been eager to help me experiment."

As Horncleaver settles into a bath, Raevik drops in from the ceiling and pulls him back by the shoulder putting a knife to his neck.

"Father, I require your assistance and your sworn secrecy."

He lets the comment hang for a moment, before procuring a hastily scribbled note somewhere from his suit.

"I have... Acquired, a recipe for 'cake' from some travelling humans. Terang Bulan might enjoy this. However I have learned that my attempts at using a kitchen are interpeted as..." He trails off, his head tilting in a gesture of awkwardness over his otherwise impassive face. "Offensive. You shall hell me make his 'cake'"

A moment of silence passes, and he sighs. "Do not look at me like that, the humans are unharmed." He ponders for a moment, they did scream very loudly when he dropped in. "Mostly"

Horncleaver hesitates, briefly, at the surprise that has both destroyed his bathroom ceiling and rained debris into his bath, and sighs as he reaches for the many-folded note, carefully taking the paper from his son.

"While I am going to put faith in your assessment of how you left those humans after what I expect to be a heart-stopping visit," he grumbles, squinting his good eye at the note as he sinks far enough into the wash-basin that only his head and the arm holding the recipe are dry. "I must say that if you're going to swear your father to secrecy, you should do him the favor of knocking before breaking into his baths."

It takes him a solid minute or two to decipher the hasty scrawl, but he waves the note to Raevik and nods his head. "It'll be done. Hold onto that, of course. Please, please, warn me or let me know when you would like to work on it, I will likely ask Kudo to supervise us."

Raevik, how did that cake you and your sire made come out? Did Terang Bulan like it? (@commanderhorncleaver)

Raevik looks up at you from the soup he was sipping. Judging from its quality it was made for him by Terang Bulan. Eyes wide with surprise for a moment so short you likely would have missed it. With a paw he wipes the soup smudging the fur of his chin.

"The cake... oh, the cake." He eyes you analytically for a moment, staring. It seems he was taken aback by the sudden intrusion.

"The attempted cake was.... unsatisfactory." He slides his soup bowl out of reach of you, without even glancing. Trying to make the action seem casual. "Ash legion training on food is not concerned with its flavour or its presentation. If anything it is..."

He glances down at his bowl, then at you. "It is a tool to be utilized as a weapon." He tilts his head, face remaining impassive. "...arguably the cake would have been easily weaponized, or looked like it was."

"Baking cake was more trying than I had expected. Me and my sire followed the instructions to the letter but neither of us seemed to have the particular skillset to achieve the result Terang Bulan does. It was, simply put, wrong. The input was entirely the same, however the output was not. I must perform more reconnaisance to divine the secrets of kitchen operatives"

he grabbed his bowl of soup. Seemingly satisfied with his answer he got up and without breaking eye contact he cloaked himself. Leaving you alone. It appears he prefers privacy when eating.

How did you develop a crush, Raevik? (@commanderhorncleaver)

Raevik's ear twitches. That might be the only sign you get that he has heard or even acknowledged you. He has been laying still up in a perch he made out of one of the many support beams sprawling between the Black Citadel's many buildings. His eyes have remained closed, anyone who doesn't know better would think he is sleeping.

"A crush? Ah, a crush." He opens his eyes, the intense stare of his pink eyes instantly finding you despite having had no visual indication as to where you were beforehand. "Quite the question. You know curiosity can easily get you killed?"

He closes his eyes again, settling in comfortably which is impressive given the fact he is laying on pure metal.

"I suppose it was a matter of proximity." "...but no, that does not satisfy the question. There is more. Terang Bulan... he was interested in my wellbeing. He did not need to be, but when we were both in an unfamiliar place and my brother was being..." he hesitates "hostile, his company and care was nice." He sighs. "Other than that... well. He is very patient, my cooking is a great exercise of that. He has good physical qualities too."

He opens one eye "now is your curiosity sated?"

Terang Bulan, what is the things that attract you to Raevik?

How do you feel now that he is actively flirting with you?

The large, golden-furred charr sits up straight, his bright pink eyes widening in surprise at your question.

"Um. He can be a bit aggressive, and uh, blunt," Terang Bulan begins, "when he flirts. It isn't bad, but I can't quite, uh, seem to get used to it. That he likes me, I mean. And doesn't mind making it known so loudly."

He runs a large paw through his sandy brown mane. "There's lots of things to like about him, too. Um, he's smart-- that's not surprising, he's Ash-- but I mean, really cunning, and good at multitasking. Keeps a lot of things running in his head at the same time. Hard to ever tell what, though."

He begins to drum his fingers on the desk as he pauses for a moment, considering how truthful he's expected to be.

"He's a bit of an, erm, eccentric thinker, that's part of it. And I mean, what charr isn't? But he keeps me on my toes-- he likes to set up... dates, I suppose. Surprise dates. I generally know when he's planning one, but I never really know what it is, or where it'll be."

"He likes my size-- and I mean, he's short, basically all of Horncleaver's cubs are, from what I've seen, so grain of salt, but it is endearing." He hurriedly adds, "That he's, you know, so short."

How do your cats react getting a slice of cheese smacked at their face?

Raevik either dodges it, or it slaps him right in the face. He is completely stonefaced about it and is "politely" asking you why you did that.

Zavrik is smiling, but it does not reach his eyes. You should probably run, or watch yourself.

Atticus is, not happy at being hit. But delighted at the cheese. He *is* bonking you back for hitting him though.
