It feels weird that I'm a midcore endgame FFXIV player, but I'm so overwhelmed by how much there is to do in gw2. So instead of doing stuff, I fantasize about writing my commander doing stuff! i stopped giving a shit about "legit" purchases of digital products after i spent $80 on the entire Dark Horse collection of Trigun/Trigun Maximum ebook mangas, learning that I only got access to reading them through a proprietary website ereader function, couldn't download them, and couldn't get a refund, and then literally only a year later, getting an e-mail stating that Dark Horse was shutting down that part of their company and I wouldn't even be able to read them anymore. Fuck that

Pirate shit. Don't feel bad for it. It's not "your fault" that artists, independent or otherwise, can't make a living. You downloading an album or ebook for free isn't the cause of the problem. The cause is capitalism, plain and simple, and pirating is a lucky loophole that will companies are still trying to stomp out.

But Kudo is part of the Horn warband, headed by @commanderhorncleaver's Gaius Horncleaver, who's also Lu's eldest brother.

It was sort of an accident? Gaius took it upon himself to train the. honestly super pathetic and meek rat his sister had dragged with her so he wouldn't entirely be dead-weight.

It's important to note that at this point in his story, Kudo was still very much a weak little baby and more concerned with saving his own hide. He had an interest in swordplay, but had never been given the opportunity to actually put that into practice. And quite frankly, even once he was, it initially went. About as well as you'd figure an inquest scientist given a sword and told to do battle would go.

It was only due to his perseverance and willingness to really hit the books when it came to studying stances and tactics that he became surprisingly handy at it (if still extremely terrified and unsure of himself).

Gaius "Can't stop adopting people" Horncleaver took a shine to him, and dare I say...might even be PROUD of his protoge and what he's become.

i will never make fun of zhaitan's one yaoi hand because it's such a unique touch on 'undead dragon haphazardly cobbled together out of corpse parts'. as he flies, you can see him alternating between using it as a regular arm-like limb and like an asymmetrical bonus wing, which adds even more to his weird amorphous shifting figure that's hard to exactly parse out in motion
