🔥 + steve's characterization in the MCU vs the comics (also im sorry)

ok i dont exactly know if this is unpopular or not but steve literally suffers from as much mischaracterization as natasha and like almost every other character that is not tony. imo ppl are way too harsh on him for that but like its literally not his fault that the directors and characters dont like him. i dont think his characterization in the mcu is that bad but him at the end of a4 was a huge mistake. in the comics (from the very little steve comics that ive read) he is not ur boyscout or whatever the fuck either like he also makes a lot of morally grey decisions but idk when it comes down to it the thing is 616 steve is more stable than mcu steve bc he was given a purpose/place to belong/home from tony and mcu steve was never given that which i guess makes his choice in a4 a bit more understandable. still not great tho
