Elias tilted his head towards' Holly's voice, a small but genuine smile threatening the corners of his mouth. The party was a constant buzz around them, but her words were easy to single out. "Yeah. Totally." He agreed, a small nod of the head to punctuate. "All the pushing and shouting and...yeah." He gave a small, self-conscious laugh. "I can't really see the colours or anything, but, the sounds, the way the air kinda shakes? It's good. And when you feel it in your chest? That's my favourite part. Like a free hug from the sky." He paused, realising he was rambling on a little. "I know a good spot, a little further into the trees, but, it's, like, perfect. If you, um...If you wanted to check it out? I mean, I'd like that. But, no pressure or anything. But, yeah. Quieter is way better." @ragdclls

The first firework cracked open in the sky like a bone snapping. Billy's whole body jerked sharply, shoulders hitching. He forced a laugh that came out far too thin and raked his hair from his eyes which sparkled red as the firework dripped away into the dark. "So, uh…rate that one. Two out of ten? They better up their game for the finale." He rambled, trying to calm himself down with useless chatter.

“I want to know who I'm looking at.” (Billy & Sam)

Billy leaned back, eyes narrowing, watching Sam how a cat watches a mouse when it's trying to decide whether to eat it or mess around with it for a bit first. "Whoa, slow down there. You're looking at me like I'm your asshole ex or somethin'." He looked her over, she didn't look like much. "I'm Billy. Just Billy. Got no clue who you are, though. Sorry. No offence, or whatever." He chuckled, but, it was performative and guarded. "If you're a friend of T's, you're barking up the wrong tree. I don't think she's down for groups." @ragdclls

“My hands are so cold.” (Grey & Evie)

Grey hunkered down, glancing at her hands as if there was something to look at to determined just how cold they were. "Here." He pulled out a shoddily crafted pair of gloves, clearly made from several damaged bits of fabric sewn together, with suspicious holes at the fingertips of nearly every finger. "I run hot these days, anyway. Too hot." He looked around the river's edge, looking for enough of a bank that they could sit down and he could make a small fire pit. "I'll get a fire going, we can sit for a bit until you can feel your toes enough to walk back. Wouldn't want Bozo to have to tough it out, either." He smirked, gesturing to Frodo with a small nod of his head. @ragdclls

"Look, I…I don't usually do this, alright? Everyone's on my case, I just, I need to get outta here for a bit." He looked at the tube and then back to them. "Come with me. We'll get dinner after, whatever you want. Just, don't make a big deal out of it, okay?" He threw his backpack over his shoulder, taking a step toward the tube to see if they'd follow. @ragdclls

"Handling it? Who the fuck are you, and where the hell am I?" Billy snapped, dark eyes darting around the room, trying to find any kind of clue that would bring him some kind of idea as to what was going on, but, so far, he was drawing blank after blank. "What's going on? You're the one keeping me here, so, spill it, now. Or, I swear, I'll…I'll call the cops." @ragdclls

"You’ve always been my favourite." (Grey & Evie)

Grey went real still, the crackling of the fire now seemingly so loud that it felt like it was coming from inside his brain; and the heat on his face and the back of his neck attested to that. "I smell like wet dog and live in a shack held together with spit and hope, and I'm your favourite? I think that says more about you, sister." He scrubbed his hand over his beard, trying to hide the way he couldn't stop the smile from scrawling itself onto his face. "Talk like that could ruin a man like me, you know that?" He chuckled, looking away, brain desperately scrambling for what was socially appropriate to say back. "I mean, you've been my favourite since the first time you didn't run away in horror. Just...didn't think I'd ever get to hear you say it back." @ragdclls
