so this has been long overdue.
bd anubis took a pretty long, unannounced hiatus a few months back. for what reasons back then escape me, but there’s a few that come to mind.
long story short, i lost almost complete interest in jjba. i had tried to keep this blog, along with dbm running, but i eventually just ... gave up for a lack of better terms.
roughly a week ago, in the early morning when i couldn’t sleep, i uploaded a drawing of anubis and shakir to this blog which gained a bit of attention. in the tags i was talking about my interests in returning to this blog, which still may or may not happen, i’m still not very certain right now.
i would really love to return to this blog, trust me. but the age-old factor that drove me away in the first place still remains, and most likely will.
anubis really isn’t a very popular jjba character in the first place. i tried to make him more appealing (even if it was a little lackluster with my art skills back then) but it just didn’t work. adding that onto my fear of interacting with other bdjjba members, it just chewed away at this blog, and my other two bdjjba blogs until i left them here to sit. with that, there were also my long periods of dead noise from these blogs due to me not knowing how to bring in interaction and activity. with white album, i had some sort of ... something to bring in interaction (even if it was a bit odd at the time) but i eventually bailed on that blog once i realized i had driven it back into a corner, i didn’t know what to do with it. i would love to do something like i did with white album (with a little bit more consideration, mind you) but i wouldn’t be able to do something like that with anubis and dbm, they’re just too goofy, i suppose.
i guess what i’m trying to say here is that i really do want to come back. my art has very noticeably improved, i feel more confident with it, it’s just that i don’t know what to do with these blogs. none of the events really peak my interest (apart from the standswap event, those are always fun) and i don’t know how to really characterize anubis, dbm and white album to draw in attention.
i’ll figure something out at some point. just hang on for a little bit longer, yeah?
