Well there’s a reason why the A in LGBTQIA has been so vibrantly argued for as Ace recently. I’ve personally gotten to the point where I just say, “oh, I’m ace” and then that’s that with most people, unless they bear ignorance.

I mean yeah but people do tend to forget everything after the T and even sometimes the things after the G. And it's really great you have that much confidence in your identity! Cuz I sure as hell didn't.

Hmm, I get you. I think my saving grace there has been A) my previous confusion, and B) the many ace friends I’ve had and their influence on my self-validation, on top of my passion in LGBT+ regards. These things are very, very real to me.

That's cool!!! Yeah like I've known I was ace for a while but its like... I didn't feel real I guess even despite that knowledge. I really didn't know other ace people till like last year but like as said I didn't feel real so its like I didn't want to theoretically take away from other "actual" LGBT people and I just ugh. I dunno. It's nice to be able to scream it out and just made it a lot more real to me I guess.

Tbh I've never actually had many problems with being Ace? I'm just curious, maybe, because a lot of Ace people talk about it being rough but I never get that in my experience.

I've honestly never had many problems with it either???? Like nothing ever really agressive, but I dunno I personally was just always scared of not being taken seriously??? Like my parents would say its just that my hormones haven't hit and shit like that, and then I was scared to say I was ace to a lot of my lgbt friends cuz I didn't want them to think I was trying to appear special and I dunno. It's a diff kind of fear. Not of being hurt, but of just being invalidated and made to feel wrong I guess. Cuz I mean really once someone says something long enough, you're gonna kind of start believing it.
