1958 ragtop Corvette sporting a 283. Not sure of which of the 4 engine options in the 283 this car has. But she is so smart looking with the black body, white top and white sidewall tires.

1960 Corvette swathed in "Tasco Turquoise" with a 283 cu/in power plant. Not sure if it's a 4-barrel or a fuelie. Enlarge the interior pic and you'll see it's a 3-speed manual. She was a pretty girl at this local car show!

1953 Corvette and only 300 were made this first year of production. These initial cars had a 3 carb setup on an inline six kicking out 150 horsepower mated to a two speed transmission. All were white bodies, red interiors with a black removable ragtop. Rumor has it Chevrolet gave one of the first few production cars to John Wayne for him to promote but he didn't like it because it was so hard for him to get in and out of. :-)

A reader submitted his '67 Vette! Cute little C2!! "My 1967 Corvette 427/435 tri power 4spd. Marina blue, black interior, white top and white stinger hood. As original as the 3 previous and I could keep her. Mid 1967 casting L71 block and L71 heads both not numbers matching. Some glass and top not original. Tires and other small parts not original. All new parts are stamped and date coded for a 1967 L71. Original carbs, intake and air filter top and bottom.".

1973 Stingray big block Corvette draped in GM "Silver Metallic". This C3 was the first year of the body-colored nose. This girl has a 454 stuffed under the hood that produces 275 factory horsepower and is driven by a 3-speed tubo hydramatic transmission. That's a serious power to weight ratio! She has a hardtop and and white vinyl soft top. I like the original rally rims. There is a note inside the car saying the 454 produces 365 horsepower, but my research shows only 275 from the factory. I'd like to take her on a long drive and see how much power she puts out. :-)

1966 (?) 427 ragtop Corvette. $50 says it had a Muncie M-22 “Rockcrusher ” 4-speed mated to it. I took this pic at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green, KY in the mid-90s.
