the hopelessness, the despair, all obvious connections to acheron's true identity as a self annihilator. he says nothing at first, there really wasn't anything to say, really. perhaps at an earlier time he would've agreed with her, but if aventurine and the trailblazer ( and by extension, argenti he supposed ) could escape from under ix's shadow, than perhaps she could too. though her status as an emanator surely would complicate that. he would have to do some research into that at a later time.
