I posted this more than a year ago now, my first Promnis fic, and it remains to be one of my favorites. Not just because I think it's actually one of my better works (slow burn in just 1,000+ words!), but also because of the comment below.

They already deleted their account and I already forgot their name (I'm sorry!), but this comment made me realize the hidden depths and meanings of a fic that a reader can pick up beyond what the author intended. It's amazing, it's beautiful, and I continue to be awed.

100,000+ Words

I rarely check the stats page on my AO3, so I only just realized that with my latest fic (and my first for 2019), I just broke 100,000 words.

It may not be much -- there are many out there who've written 100,000 words with just one multi-chapter fic; it took me 40+ works to do it -- but it means a lot to me. That number is a symbol of me overcoming (a bit of) my self-doubt and it's a testament of how words can bridge gaps and spark beginnings.

Here's to more words this 2019! Thank you, whoever you are, who have read and continue to read and appreciate whatever I write.

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I've been here, huh? Life (tm) happened and got the better of me, but I'm crossing my fingers for a better December. ^^

Anyways, here are two of my latest works for those who are interested in reading them.

On the Tip of My Tongue - Promnyx, Rated E for sexual content, alternate universe (modern setting)

Summary: Nyx recalls a sexual encounter back in college and Prompto realizes something about a very similar one he had years ago.

Deep Dive - Ignyx, Rated M for mild sexual content, alternate universe (everybody lives)

Summary: Nyx and Ignis are getting married soon, and there's one Galahdian tradition that Nyx wants them to do before the wedding.

I'm planning to create a masterlist of all my works as well. But in the meantime, you can find me on AO3 as raidelle.

Last Sentence WIP

Rules: Post the last sentence of your WIP (and tag as many people as there are words in the sentence) Ugh, it took me so long to get back to this! I’m so sorry, @tsukibeamfics. I hope this small snippet instead of just one sentence will make up for my extreme lateness. T^T As usual, I am being a tad rebellious. If you want to do this, too, please do so. I’m excited to read what you’re working on. :)

Astrals, Nyx had never been captivated this quickly by anyone, man or woman. He'd chased Ignis after that round of training, to ask when he'd be free to meet over coffee.

“I'm an extremely busy man, Mr. Ulric,” Ignis had said, a tiny little smile curling his lips. “But I can make time for you this Friday at four.”

Nyx had grinned then. “You got it, gorgeous.”

The details of the Ostium Gorge mission had come the very next day and Nyx had stupidly signed up as part of the auxiliary force. He'd sent a hasty apologetic text to Ignis, and that was all he had time to do before he had to be pulled away for battle tactics.
