The Minuteman is half dressed in his uniform, but doesn’t plan to leave Goodneighbor today to check settlements. Today is a day devoted to HOME: he’s agreed to run some errands, aid Daisy --- but there’s also something else he’s been planning for a while. Al gently makes to brush his fingers over Eva’s cheek, kiss the side of her face tenderly as he continues to do up the buttons of his shirt. “I have something I wanna ask you.”

           “HOME.” Now, he knows how cliché it must sound, knows that he says it whenever given the chance or opportunity, but it is simply the truth. She is his home. His life. He looks at her, and his soul is at peace. SHE’S THE ONE. He’d be lying if he said anything but. To Al, there is nothing more IMPORTANT in this dry and desert world than the little female ghoul, as deadly as she is beautiful, as smart as she is bold, graced with the voice of an angel. Truly, when he thinks of her, he thinks of home. Thinks of the life they’re building. She’s his life, now, his purpose. His reason for getting up in the mornings, his reasons for making it through packs of raiders or wild animals. His reason to SURVIVE the harshness of the Commonwealth.

             THERE’S NO DENYING ALCATRAZ IS A BIG GUY given he’s only lived eighteen years on the planet. He’s a towering, giant mass of muscles and tanned skin, quarterback in the school’s football team. Despite that, mind, he’s not your typical douche-y, unintelligent jock --- there’s a level of gentleness to him, though initially sealed off, it needs to be peeled back to expose his tender core, like one would peeling a pomegranate. There’s only one person he’s started showing this MUSHY center to --- and that’s the new girl, Eva. Sure, Al’s generally a pleasant character to be around --- but around Eva? He thinks his heart’ll burst straight out of his chest just looking at her.

             He doesn’t mean to bash into her when turning the corner. He’s not in a hurry per se, but he’s eager to get away from that stupid band of greaseheads that lurk in one specific corner of the hall. His books ending up hitting tiled floor, but Alcatraz barely notices. He’s too busy trying not to flush BRIGHT SCARLET at the mere sight of his crush. “Oh --- oh, sorry! I didn’t uh, I didn’t see you there.” ( WELL DONE, CAPTAIN STATE THE OBVIOUS. ) He internally frets he’s making a fool of himself, bends to collect his books, push paper back into their correct holders. ( God forbid she see some of the sketches he’s done of her... that’d be really creepy. ) “You’re not hurt or anything are you?”
