              “CAN I CONFESS SOMETHING to you?” There’s a twinge of worry laced into the songstress’ tone, scarlet lips pursing a fraction. If there is anyone in the entirety of Goodneighbor she feels the people trust, and she trusts heart and soul, more than Charlie and more than Ham, it is the mayor of the settlement himself. She trusts him to listen, to take her worries seriously. Nobody knows what Mags is, and that’s the way she likes it, that’s the way things’ll stay, as far as she’s determined. But murmurs roam the streets about Sammy’s death, that he’s been shot down by the neighborhood watch because he was a REPLACEMENT of the real Sam --- a synth infiltrating Goodneighbor. Certainly not the first, but that frightens her. She’s a synth, a runaway one, and any other of her kind in this town has most likely been sent in an attempt to find her,  C2-41. Of course, no-one else knows this. But she wishes to confess her FEARS of the Institute to the one man she knows will listen. Wants to get it off her chest to at least someone. Bottling it all up, that does more damage in the long run. “I’m scared, Hancock. I’m worried about the Institute. I know we all have to keep a brave face for the people, for the public --- but after what’s happened with Sam, I’m scared.”

She hastily makes to withdraw the stimpak needle in her arm, healing the bruised flesh and the swelling of being twisted. She’s been buying more and more of these as of recent. Daisy doesn’t ask questions, thankfully, but she knows Ken will. “I thought you weren’t going to be back until Thursday?” She tries to switch conversation topic fast, makes to wrap the casing up in a rag, gently placing the now empty thing down to turn on her dressing table’s stool. “.....You’re back early.”
