the rain sounds nice.

i love the rain. do you like the rain?

i never understood why the rain was seen negatively. it’s magical. water falling from the sky! how beautiful is that?

the rain refreshes the ground and cleans the air. it fills our streams and lakes. the rhythm against the rooftop is a lullaby to fall asleep to. and yet, it’s always met with sour expressions.

perhaps im strange, but i have a sense of peace when i find out it’s raining. it’s like a soft whisper telling me it’s going to be okay. i can rest. i don’t have to think. the world has paused. it’s okay. it’s okay.

and right now, as i’m writing this, i am listening to the rain tap on my window. everything is okay.

Did I tell you guys about how much I love rain? I love rain a lot.The smell before it starts to rain, the smell while it rains, the smell after it rains. Heavy rains, light rains, stormy raining. I love it when lightning comes down and when it lights up the whole sky! I love rains that are warm and rains that are freezing and rains that go pitter-patter against metal roofs! I love to read and write and drink tea and sleep and play with my dog Sunia while it rains! I love it when big gusts of wind come through! I love it when you’re driving and you see ᵗᶦⁿʸ droplets of water criss-crossed against your windshield!!!!!!! I just really love rain.

🍂A Taste of Autumn🍂

Weather in my part of the world was very fall-y this week with clouds and storms and rain and 15°C outside so mentally I got ready for Halloween to be some time soon...

Now the weather is clearing up and I got a grim reminder that August just started, it is still the dead of summer and it will be 30°C and UV-level 6+ soon again...

On the other hand, maybe this weather was a nice little pre-fall taste without the impending consequences of winter and christmas following soon after. (I hate christmas.)

I drank pumpkin spice coffee, wore black turtle necks, I studied with candle light, slept in sweaters and I have a strong desire to rewatch all my favorite hospital soaps now.

Actually, this wasn't too bad. Autumn is short and winter is long in Germany so I won't pass on an extra week of autumnal feelings and joy.
