Day 11: The Leader

Name: Ilera Rainé

Story: Appears in many

Race: Mountain Eagle

Her Deal: Rainé is the first living animal to attain true sapience, and the first mortal with a name. She is also the first of the Jenaren, and their de facto leader. She lives near the peak of the sacred mountain Ilera (which shares her name), and this just adds to her near mythological status. She is often referenced throughout history (knowingly or not) in mythologies and religions; usually as a powerful figure, and often as the the chief of the gods. Despite all of this, however, she is pretty humble and lighthearted.

Bonus Fact: one time I made a sculpture of her out of cardboard that I’m 99% sure is still hanging in my high school art teacher’s room.
