(the character on the left)
tell us about their personality: Henryk is an ex-soldier who was drafted into war without wanting it at all (long short story: a big and powerful country started a fight with his small and poor country. they thought that if they drafted every abled men into war, they could beat the big country by outnumbering them. It didn’t work. oops). Henryk is very shy and socially anxious but despite this, he’s still a optimistic and funny guy. His time in the war also affected a lot his mental health but he works very hard to get over it.
any remarkable characteristics: He’s quite small. He has two important items: a gun (it’s an old-style rifle, like a 1900 rifle, that he got from an enemy soldier) and a red scarf that was part of his uniform, but he ties it on his belt.
three random facts about them:
Despite coming from a fantasy world, Henryk’s design and personality was (loosely) based on ww1 soldiers
He has a bird friend ! It’s a small pygmy falcon called Pismo.
At first, he was supposed to be part of the cavalry, but at the last moment, they put him in the infantry. It means that he’s very good with horses (but he thinks ponies are better)
(the character on the right)
tell us about their personality: Armel was a french soldier during ww1 (can you sense a theme among my ocs ?) before being badly injured by a bomb. He was rescued by a doctor who had designed a new technology with the help of the government: a metal that could be used to repair missing body parts. They tested it on him, it worked but was very expensive and painful so they decided to not do it again. So, instead of going back to war, Armel was used for propaganda. Too bad, Armel is a cynical, pessimist, anti-war person who really doesn’t want to do that. So he use his charisma and carefree attitude to undo everything the propaganda is trying to do.
any remarkable characteristics: The dark thing you can see, for example on his face, is the metal which was used to repair him. It’s a matt dark metal which is a mix of many metals (which probably aren’t sanitary at all). The metal takes a part of his face, a part of his neck (you can see it in the picture). But it also takes the right half of right arm and hand, along with the right side of his leg and his stomach. His hair also became white on the right side of his face because of the testing. (this is a little confusing, sorry)
three random facts about them:
He is non-binary and use both he/him and they/them (but mostly use he/him because it’s easier during the 1910’s). He loves wearing long dress and skirts, which often fit him very well because he has quite pronounced hips
He’s very gay and the corporal in charge of him feels like it’s going to give a bad image of France (since Armel has a big media influence). Don’t worry, after a long redemption arc, the corporal sill change his mind and he will accept him.
The metal incrusted in his body is bulletproof and translate heat and cold very well. However, the metal is still painful, and Armel often need to lie down or take drugs to ease the pain.
