who was the one to propose?   personally i think it would be very good for korin’s self esteem if natsuya did. IM KIDDING but i also think it would be cute if he was the one to propose...manifesting. who stressed more over wedding planning?   shion. DFHGDKHGLG who decorated the house?   good god i hope neither of them. we’ve literally talked about them trying to put furniture together and it didn’t end well at all. let them buy a place that’s already furnished. who is more organized?   i’m going to say korin because i don’t trust leos with anything. FDKDKLGDFK though i know she would trust him to keep his shit together... who suggested kids first?   korin and it was after babysitting someone else’s child. sorry. who’s the cuddler?   you know what? natsuya seems like a clingy cuddler in my mind, i don’t know if this is backed by anything but in my head it’s the truth. though kora’s the same so... what’s their favorite non-sexual activity?   i think about them going to festivals together A Lot. just them going out at night...it’s their Aesthetic.  who kills the spiders?   neither, they pick it up and show it to the other whenever they find on. i hate them with my entire soul. who falls asleep first?   korin. and to top it off she probably fell asleep on natsuya. because that’s love. who has the most patience?   oh definitely korin ... mister fire sign stood no chance with this one. though i doubt he’s that far behind...i say as if i know a single thing about canon!natsuya.

  sylvain tips over the edge of his bed. tired and ridiculous and skin seething, shirtless and still warmed by a temperature that’s nothing if not cool, but that’s never enough if he can’t feel a shiver quite like faerghus’ weather does. he thinks he’s half dreaming when he hears a thud, not his own. 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬. the realization wakes him up more than the noise itself, underestimating how noisy the wood under him is once he takes steps towards the door.

    he could never mistake natsuya’s figure down a hall, even in this dark, with all the looking he’s done. his pupils widen for a lack of light and an entire new reason, one that makes his mouth dry.

   “   i thought i’d heard a ghost,  ”  sylvain jokes, leaning on the outside wall, cool to the touch, still not enough.  “  what are you doing out here ?  don’t tell me you’re——   ”  his jaw tips back.  “  ———sneaking out. what, going for a secret rendezvous ?  ”  natsuya’s own defense is an attempt at best, and sylvain doesn’t know how much he has it in him to play detective.  “  𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝗒𝗈𝗎'𝗋𝖾 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗋𝗍𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗈 𝗌𝗈𝗎𝗇𝖽 𝗅𝗂𝗄𝖾 𝗆𝖾.  ”  quietly, he’s laughing, because he shouldn’t.  “  look. in any case, someone’s about to patrol around here. 𝖾𝗂𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋 𝗀𝗈 𝖻𝖺𝖼𝗄 𝗍𝗈 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝗋𝗈𝗈𝗆,  ”  

   in this dark hall, his eyes can’t hide a glimmer.  “  or 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦.  ”

   the dirt underneath him feels like it may start sinking what it can, whether it's there or not. fóldanese wood feels oddly harsh against his back, despite all the accommodating he's done around here. starlight reaches them as the last of the sunset settles in, stars shedding their shyness, and khalid reaches back--------- it’s the comfort of knowing this is the same sky back at home. natsuya sits next to him, and time drags a little slower for once. 𝖺 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗇𝗀 𝗌𝗎𝗇 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖺 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗇𝗀 𝗆𝗈𝗈𝗇, simultaneous and complementary.

   khalid doesn't mind the quiet. but even less so, the sound of natsuya's voice.

   he finds no shame in feeling his heartbeat swell at the words, but he'd never forgive himself if he got ahead of things. it's not as unforgivable as it seems, being so far gone into the sprouting feeling, the ghost of it, that he expected to come much later on his life. it's something akin to hope, he supposes. something akin to holding a palm to the fire. sunburnt. sunhealed. he makes up the words for it if he has to, and thinks of writing them down in a verse for later. a rare parchment poem.

   “  𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬,  ”  and the way it hangs in the air confirms it. shifting where he sits, but still remaining in place, khalid sounds pensive. but even more so, he's surprised.

   surprised that he can say he feels the same way.

   there's things he can't explain, and those he hopes he never has to. for better or worse, natsuya inspires the familiarity that comes with reluctantly conforming to a status quo--------- for now. where khalid first saw a tool, he understands now: he's a companion.  “  in any case, it’s good to know we're on the same page. and, who knows ?  ”  the stars beckon him, but khalid looks at the one beside him:  “  we might have met on a past life, you and i.  ”

a small smile curves on kuroo’s lips, not actually minding natsuya sitting on his lap. he actually kind of enjoyed it, but he definitely wasn’t going to bring that up ! it was also admittedly rather strange to have your childhood friend perched on your lap regardless of the lack of seating or not, but kuroo likes to think he was taking it pretty well. it also didn’t help that they were almost the same height, so seeing a 6 foot guy sitting on a slightly taller guy’s lap must be strange to see. oh well.
