I'm going to say it. Everyone who makes fun of people for being in cringe fandoms (even if the media objectively does suck), dressing weird, or being a "TikTok gay" or whatever you all are calling these types now, is more annoying then the people that actually are like this. Like these people you all make fun of are usually like normal queer teenagers. All the people making fun of them are always so preoccupied with not being in part of that "weird group" that you constructed out of a mash up of stupid social rules made by people who still wouldn't like you anyway and it makes you forget how to have fun sometimes I think

back on our lu shit again to complain that you guys SUCK when it comes to Legend. "hes an asshole" "hes a bully" no hes someone who has had very few positive experiences with other people and when he did, it went badly or he had to leave them. and he is most likely trying to protect himself from getting hurt again. yeh?

I am once again asking for your theories and your rant about Dreams character.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HERE WE GO!!!

1. Dreamon

The Dreamon took over after the Battle of the Lake. We can do either Bill Cipher, or The Host kinda vibes here. Dream’s watching the entire thing happening right in front of his eyes with nothing else to stop him from seeing it.

Or, he surfaces every so often and the Dreamon lets him take over and mess with things for a bit. (Taking away George’s power as King, seeing Spirit for the first time in months and actually doing what Tommy says, hitting Tommy away from the lava for the first time and the Dreamon telling him that it isn’t his time to die, staying in the prison and waiting for Tommy to return and when he does, the Dreamon finally comes back.)

2. Immortality

Dream’s entire world revolved around his family, and when he woke up the first time, he went back to find them again, only to see that they’ve all been killed. The Village that he’d found with Catt and the place where they’d found Robin, gone. 

In this same type of thinking, we can also guess that Dream wanted to keep control of the server because he didn’t want what happened to his family to happen again. And we can also say that Dream saw how each of his friends seemed to kinda act like his old family (Bad’s kind-natured, like the mayor; Quackity is... there’s more than meets the eye, just like Helga, Tubbo is just like Robin, all smart-mouthed and sharp edges.)

And there’s Corpse that holds onto Catt’s laugh and how much he reminds him of his partner. Dream doesn’t know how or why he’s stuck with immortality, but hey. At least he’s got Philza, right?

3. Just A Regular Guy

Dream spent most of the time on his server being feared, or respected by everyone. He was painted as a villain in Wilbur’s L’manberg and he played that role so good that everyone fell for Wilbur’s words. We forget how the L’manberg was build because Dream said that they couldn’t have a drug empire.

Dream decided that in he’ll act like the villain and he did. He pushed and bullied his way to the front, pushed away all his friends and when Wilbur, ultimately, became what Dream had, Dream let him do it. Dream saw that this was the only way that they’d both ever get peace.

Maybe with Wilbur gone, Tommy could stop being so aggressive and Dream wouldn’t have to force him to do things. Maybe with Wilbur gone, Dream wouldn’t be seen as a villain with every single step he walks in, or every time he joins his own SMP.

4. He’s lonely, my dude

Dream’s been alone since the start of the server, almost. Once everyone joined, they all went to their other friends and Dream was left alone. The one time he’d said something out of anger and fear, Sapnap and George went to Tommy first. They didn’t go to their best friend, they didn’t ask him why he said that. They (at least Sapnap did) asked Tommy, who had actually already thought of Dream as a villain. 

Like, I’m sorry Sapnap. But why didn’t you go to your best friend first and then Tommy after? Maybe I’m thinking weirdly, but hey.

5. Ranboo

Ranboo’s Enderwalk and Dream are friends. If he really was controlling him, why would Enderwalk still be talking to Ranboo, you know? Why wouldn’t EW actually try to keep Ranboo as far away from the truth as possible? 

He doesn’t. I think the “He is in control of me” is than Ranboo’s controlling EW. We’ve seen that EW actually seems to enjoy working with Dream (because otherwise why would he?). Idk, it just kinda rubs me the wrong way as everyone says that Dream’s manipulating Ranboo when the voice in Ranboo’s head was confirmed not to be Dream. 

6. DreamXD and Drista

DreamXD blessed Dream with the power of immortality or Admin powers. Drista isn’t technically Dream’s sister, she’s DreamXD’s sister, but Dream babysat her when she was younger and became like a big brother to her. (Sparrow gave me this idea :D)

A rant? A rant? I gotchu, babe.

So, Dream’s considered a villain, right? We don’t see his point of view and we can’t really sympathize with his character as much as we can Schlatt’s and Quackity’s. And it’s so much easier to say that he’s a villain and that he has no redeeming qualities than to think about why exactly he’s doing it. I’ve given a bunch of reasons on why exactly Dream’s character isn’t just one-dimensional.

He’s a gray character, through and through. He thinks that the ends justify the means on what he’d done/doing, and Dream wants to go back to the early days of the SMP where everyone was acting like a family. He wants to go back to being the big brother again, and he wants to go back to being able to play around with everyone again.

Dream doesn’t want nations because L’manberg set the divide between Dream’s family. And he doesn’t want another war, another fight with his family again. But he would go through it again, if it meant that afterward they’d be a family again. And Dream’s willing to be the villain, again and again and again just so they can all have someone to fight against together. So they can all act like a family, together.

I don’t get how this is happening with REGULARITY. Wildbow’s works ARE excellent, and his works have and do include trans/NB people. Jessie is trans. Circus is NonBinary... Ugh Annoying thing is, I know there’s not actually any real connection between good media and TERFs consuming it. But my brain is seeing the correlation and latching onto as if it has significant meaning.  All I wanna do is get excited about a book with someone without thinking “you’d cause anxiety/panic attacks in a heartbeat to soothe your ego/beliefs.”

I wish more people could truly grasp how debilitating adhd is. Our brains are physically incapable of producing enough dopamine. Y'all do realise just how important dopamine is, right ??
