happy disability pride month to those who rely on support from people who don't want to deal with them. to those who have to beg their loved ones for support. to those who have had others get tired of them and suddenly drop all support. to those who are barely hanging on because they need support from others and no one is willing to help them.

Something my health issues made me realize is that, yes, you can become disabled overnight, and you don’t need something dramatic to happen, no cars are involved, no plane crashes happened, no traumatic incidents causing mental disability, no crimes happened, no malpractice, and yet you can simply wake up one day sick, and never get better

it's disability pride month guys, so let's stop with the able-bodied & neurotypical headcanons for characters. make that character disabled! make them neurodivergent! give them mobility & support aids! make their disability affect them in some tangible way! give them mental & physical disabilities! make that injury disable them! & if the character is disabled in canon? expand on that! look at it deeper! research their canon disability & show some love to them!
