Work with marshmallows and food coloring to create a tasty and entertaining rainbow craft. This vibrant treat gives desserts a whimsical touch and is ideal for kid's parties.
Ingredients: 1 bag of large marshmallows. Assorted food coloring red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Toothpicks. Small paintbrushes. Edible glitter optional. Rainbow-colored sprinkles optional.
Instructions: One piece of marshmallow for each color of the rainbow should be divided into six equal pieces. Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion of marshmallows in a separate bowl, and stir until the colors for each layer of the rainbow are as desired. To prevent blending, use distinct bowls and brushes for every color. Place the marshmallows in a rainbow-like stack, with purple at the bottom and red at the top, using toothpicks to hold them in place. To keep the marshmallows in place, gently press them together. If you want to add a little extra sparkle to each marshmallow layer, use tiny paintbrushes to add some edible glitter. To add some flair, create a colorful base for your rainbow marshmallow craft by dipping the bottom into rainbow-colored sprinkles. Give your marshmallow rainbow craft ten to fifteen minutes to dry and set. Enjoy your edible rainbow craft or use it as a vibrant cake or cupcake decoration once it dries!
