Teresa came home that evening, tired from work, as usual. She had spent all day at work, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms. Her fingers were tired, and she slowly opened the door, letting her bangs fall into her hair as she tilted her head forwards. Nnoitra wouldn’t be asleep yet, so she mumbled a small ‘ tadaima ‘, but didn’t expect a reply. She didn’t even say it loud enough for anyone to hear. She didn’t get the time to take off her shoes, because, when she looked up again, she realized that there was a stranger in her home. Her stoic features remained almost the same, even if a very small frown was not present on her tired face.
It didn’t take a detective to understand that this man was Kazu. Hadn’t she told Nnoitra that he wasn’t allowed to see him? And, why was this man in their home? A knot of anxiety was building up in her stomach, and she wished Nnoitra would walk over to her side, but her son remained standing beside Kazu, a little too close for her liking. ❝ What are you doing here? ❞ She finally asked, having regained the ability to speak. Yes, what on earth did he think he was doing here?
