what noise did you send with
when you secondhanded me this storm?
in response to this weather and the poem @fuckingwhateverdude wrote about it 🖤
Rained In [Alamortful]
Rain rain go away, come again some other day. All I want to do is to play, so come again some other day.
Resting her chin upon the crooked windowsill of her crumbling home, she picked and pried off the peeling paint that was trying so desperately to hold on to the rotting wood. A series of light tings could be heard behind her as raindrops dipped and slid their way through the cracks in her roof into metal basins awaiting on the floor beneath. The ones that overfilled sloshed onto the wood, making a last ditch escape to find the earth below the floorboards. The whole world seemed to be washing away any sins it had been sullied with.
When her fingers could no longer scrape off any paint she set her finger and thumb against her cheek, flicking the side so she could mimic the sound of the rain.
Within seconds her cheek had grown sore and she had to find another means of entertainment, anything, even if it caught her attention for only a moment or two. Staring into the rain certainly wasn’t helping. She rested her palm against the windowpane until the heat of her caused a small fog to shape around her hand on the glass.
Blurred by the fog a small shape grew as it approached her home, a refuge for anyone caught in the storm.
@alamortful
Things are changing a lot in my life.
I’m trying to adjust, and I’m trying to make it through.
It’s hard, but I’m trying.
Please, enjoy.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP NEW MUSIC I figured since I can't do about anything more to this piece that i might as well put it up.
Also, yeesh it's been quite a while since i posted. Anybody feel up for a Steady Stream of WIPs for the next few days, or should I stick to finished works only for this blog?
Stuck inside with the rain this weekend instead of out at the barn? There are lots of options for ways to spend your time over at Judge My Ride! Check out the Deniro boot challenge, post a picture to get some feedback from our well qualified judges, or see what feedback they've given to other riders! What good feedback (or what's the best advice) have they given you in the past? Send us an ask with that advice, and how it has helped you, and we'll share in on the tumblr page!
This is an ambient track I made to help with my insomnia. I know Anti-Alias hasn't been here long, but I'd like to reserve ambient and ambient-style songs to my new alias, Rained In. More to come, and I hope you enjoy! ~AA
